Saw that game. Has to be a little scary for the players when the fans storm the court like that.

Utah St. is tough and deserves to be in the NCAA. Watch the committee Bozos leave them out (assuming Nevada wins the MWC) in favor of a barely .500 Big 10 team.

Evidently USU coach said something to him.

Perhaps.  I have a problem if the USU coaching staff mouthed off to him after the game.

But I really have a problem with storming the court and people thinking it's OK.  Storm Wrigley after the next Cubs win, or Soldier after a Bears win and see what happens to you.  After you get bailed out you're going to look like an absolute idiot for running onto the field of play.  You rarely see a court stormed in high school, security is usually there to stop it or perhaps HS kids are simply better behaved.

I watched the video of this and I would have been concerned for the safety of players of both teams.  Can't USU act like it's won a game before?

I remember watching the 1981 NBA finals and Celtic fans storming the court after the win, I think Larry may have punched a fan or two trying to get to the locker room.  The Celtic players wanted no part of that mob, their own fans in their own arena.

Storming the court has got to stop.  It's a safety issue and an issue of having class.  If storming the court or playing field is acceptable, then Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey should be celebrated as a national holiday!

The thing here is that you don't see any other Nevada players having to be physically restrained or trashing the facility.  Puts his whole team in peril because he wants to ram him hand through some glass after a tough loss.

You got that right!  I spent 3 years as a DJ in a couple of discos in Chicago in the mid to late 70's.  Absolutely hated the music, but the pay was incredible and the after hours "companionship" was even better, so it was more than worth it.  Heck, I would've done it for free if I didn't need the money.

I wasn't a White Sox fan, but I was so proud of Steve Dahl and Gary Meyers for pulling that off.  That was an awesome night.  By '79 I was down here at SIU for school so I wasn't DJ'ing anymore, but I felt it was only a matter of time before that whole disco scene would slow down.  Dahl will forever be one of my heroes for that stunt, among many others.

I'm ashamed to admit I once owned a BeeGees album! 😀  Shoulda brought it to Comiskey!

I listened to Steve and Gary for years. They were funny and creative but they both crossed the line a lot. Eventually Dahl's schtick got old. Allegedly Howard Stern used their show as training. Used to like his show too until it turned into "Howard Jacks Off In Public!"  which just got old! I think Dahl does podcasts now.

True.  Not defending his actions, and it seems like an over reaction to USU storming the court.  However, I bet there is more to the story than we've seen and maybe we might find out what really set him off.

I know you are not. You are right that more will come out and about the court storming.

Caroline was out of control.
