I'll be interested to see how he looks wherever he ends up once he has a healthy offseason to work on his game. He didn't look real good last year, but I was willing to keep an open mind and see how he progressed with more time to work on his body and his game.
You'd like to see some of these guys (especially Francois and Davis) battle through adversity and commit to improving within the program, but I guess that's not really the norm these days.
Hate to lose him, he has the chance to be very good I think.

Coaches are not as loyal to let a kid have a 4 year scholarship and certainly players ARE NOT loyal to going 4 years with a program. It’s just the nature of the business now.
This is the first transfer that really hurts IMO. He looked good when he got the chance to drive to the basket and finish through contract. Had a good looking shot which I thought would improve over the summer.
Best of luck.
Agree, thought Davis had a good chance of being a good Valley player with a little hard work on his end. I guess D2 or D3 is his next landing spot.

From what I saw, most of his drives ended in turnovers. He lacked explosion, but that might have improved with time to get healthier. Agree his perimeter stroke looked pretty good.

I would say on end of the shot clock drives when he was trying to make something happen yeah you saw some turnovers...but when it was in the flow of the offense not nearly as much. He definitely lacked some explosiveness that he’ll likely get some of back next year but he was really good around the rim hanging in the air, getting good angles on his defenders, and finishing through contact.
I’m very interested to see how this recruiting cycle plays out and if we have any more transfers...at this point I hope not, but I have a feeling Cook is leaving.
This one surprises me. I never thought he was aggressive enough for a player his size and I mistakenly attributed that to his prior injuries. But he told me in person he has always been a guard- even in high school. So, I guess that's just his game. I still thought he could've been a good player for us.

Interesting. Maybe this is just a case of someone not wanting to fill the role the coaches had in mind for him.
(Inflammatory political snark)
with his size he will have trouble finding a d2 program where he will get to play guard. better learn to adjust.
we have 1 or possibly 2 more coming. 🙁
Craving a McBride Special!
@boobys 1 or 2 more what ??? Guys transferring ??? I don’t care how good of relationships you are building , losing 5 plus in one season is harsh

We've heard Cook is probably one. I don't want to speculate on other names but you wonder about Dembele's health.

This and this
I'm aware of the various circumstances and I think as long as Domask, Jones and Harvey are back there is a nice core to build around, but it would be plain weird to have literally half the scholarship players transfer after what was mostly a feel-good season for the program.
And even if some good recruits are brought in (at this point, that better be the case),I think it would delay instilling the culture/program continuity that ultimately gets the program headed toward MVC contention.
