Loyola plays at UNI today in a huge game and then has to travel to us on Wednesday. That could be an advantage for us. I hope we're well-rested and jump on them early.

I went to a Wichita state game, maybe 5 years ago, siu arena was packed, they were ranked high, we got blasted, game was over before halftime. That seemed to be a big game, at least for Hinson era.

I was trying to remember when that Wichita fiasco was. That was the last men's game I went to.

no one epxected us to beat wichita. the loyola game in 18 was the worstt saluki game i ever saw. i drove amlost 6 hrs in a downpore to see loyola put the game in the 1st 5 minutess.

Actually I think there were A LOT of people who thought we could beat Wichita in January 2016. The official attendance for that game was over 8,000, just shy of capacity. Those who were fooled by Hucky's b.s. got a swift dose of reality when we played a real opponent.
And then just a couple of years later, Lucy was beckoning Charlie Brown with the football again, and 6,000+ turned up to that Loyola game. And danged if Lucy didn't pull the football away AGAIN...

Big game against Murray State, big crowd and Ja Morant torched us mercilessly. Post game Coach Hinson told us it was his fault because he "scared" his team by telling then how good Ja was.
The theme of the Hucky era was Lucy holding the football and pulling it away each time any form of excitement was built up.
