This has the makings of another very good game. The kids are growing up before our eyes and although Loyola should be hungry coming off a narrow defeat at UNI, we are TOUGH at home.
This SIU team genuinely prides itself on defending home court. Let's get it!

Loyola having one less day to rest/prepare and playing its second straight road game (after an OT game in Cedar Falls) is about as advantageous as it gets. Plus, after a relatively comfortable Ramblers win in Chicago, human nature says that subconsciously they take Southern a bit lightly.
Guessing Loyola will only be a slight favorite in Vegas, the way Southern has been playing at home. The Salukis will have to shoot much better than they did at their place, but it should be an interesting one and a fun atmosphere in Carbondale.
SIU owes UNI this win over Loyola after the Salukis seriously imperiled UNI's at-large chances last week. 😛
let's keep our feet on the ground. there will be a lot of pressure on this one.
