Since that quick 7-2 start three minutes in, it's been just 14 more points for the Salukis in the next 16 minutes. Somebody HAS to hit an outside shot or two.
Missouri State 29
SIU 24
Halftime
Well designed play out of the timeout by the coaching staff getting Brown an open corner 3.
Brown with a desperately needed three.... 29-24 Bears at the half.
SIU keeping the Bears a good 10 points under their average, so that's good to see. Hit a couple more of those open threes and they're right there.
we got this. I am sure of it.
Ehh...what was I thinking??? 🤔
The first half scoring outputs for the team this year have been ugly with few exceptions.
SIU’s viability in this game is fragile. Another long drought like the last 5 minutes of the half (until the Brown 3) and this will get away.
SIU cannot win this game with Jones not scoring. He missed his only 2 shots, but both looked very good out of his hands. Just thinking about it, I'm actually impressed that SIU is within punching distance and Jones not having scored bc he has the ability to throw dominate when on. Here's hoping he does just that in the 2nd half.
Gonna have to hope Missouri State doesn’t wake up right out the gate in second half.
So many damn chances to have a lead in this game. My goodness
Wow 24 points in the shot clock era. Pretty exciting.
Man seems like we had good looks all half. Offense didn’t look too bad to me but still only 24 points. Gotta hit those open shots.
Mo State is a good team, and Mosely is a shoo-in for the Larry Bird Award. Gonna be tough to win this one. We just don't do well playing from behind, but as usual, the team is playing hard, few turnovers (3) and our 5 spot is doing pretty good between Muila and Filewich.

17 points in the last 17 minutes - we've seen that far too much this season. You're exactly right in that if there's another stretch like that in the second half, this could be a double-digit deficit in short order.
Kinda surprised that with all the attacking to the rim that the Dawgs did in that first half, they've yet to go to the FT line. But the way they've been shooting at the line, that's probably a good thing. 😉
More Fillawich please. We need offense. Period.
That's a foul but not a flagrant on Mosley and the refs called the opposite
John Rooney and Sober Brett Hull with the call on Bally Sports Midwest.
Sober Brett Hull!!! I just saw this and I can't stop laughing at that.

With that 3rd foul, you're going to get your wish. And immediately Prim scores easily.
