SIU doesn't have the offense to play in a shootout. Bears are scoring every time down the court.
This team misses way too many wide open 3's
Not an encouraging start for a team that needs a win against a team missing their best player
You would think the combination of:
1. Getting crushed on the boards, and
2. We are a horrendous 3-point shooting team,
Would lead to us starting or playing 2 bigs at a time, no? Is that too much common sense?

Well, when this team hits under 32 percent for the year out there, they might be open for a reason. Other teams should just continue to let the Dawgs fire away, as they haven't shown ANY consistency out there.
Down 16-10 at the 12 min. break, and they're now 2-9 from deep. I've seen this story before.
Banks offense has really regressed over the past 5+ games, specifically his outside shooting. He was so good earlier in the season. As a team, we're now 22% from 3.
How about JD with 2 offensive rebounds and a nice pass to D'Amico

Outside of Domask/Jones and the transfers, nobody has really improved in this program that they recruited. And Ebube, Wonders, Hornecker, Ferguson are apparently not playable.
As I say that, Troy D'Amico might go for 20 points today. What the hell is going on?
D'amico playing well
Have a game, Troy!
Troy D'Amico: 4-4, 10 points at the under 8 timeout. Keep getting him the ball.
SIU currently 6-8 inside the arc... and 3-11 outside. Amazing what happens when you drive to the hoop and create these and-ones.
I would say JD has really improved from year 1 to now, where he finally is playing meaningful minutes. And I honestly think that XJ and Newton have really improved, albeit just throughout the year. Just my opinion but I feel the staff has much more improvement needed in the area of recruiting than player development.
I would also add that Banks shooting regressing throughout the season is not related to lack of player development. It's probably regression to the mean, lack of work throughout the season, fatigue, etc.
