Yes some players test different waters at larger schools. But talented players that don't get time at P5 schools also transfer out.

It is cyclical. 

Actually, it's not.  Even the bench players for P5 schools get larger NIL $ than we can afford to give them.  The mid-majors are only going to get the absolute scrubs/recruiting mistakes the big boys want to get rid of.

THE NIL is the biggest problem for Mids. Big schools with money can essentially buy up a lot of Mid-major talent.

Also, there's a lot of talented players - the big guys can't get them all, so there will always be good mid-majors, especially if they have the finances.

They can't get them all immediately, but they sure can after a year.
