Brutal loss for the standings and just in general.
KD tried to will them to victory but not enough from everyone else.
Crud. Quite a bit of things you can look at in this loss (MSU 23-25 at the FT line vs. 11-17 for SIU... SIU's 13 turnovers to MSU's 7, etc.).
Time to blow out Valpo this weekend and start figuring out our seeding possibilities for Thursday in the Lou, as I think this loss probably sealed a Thursday start.
I think that foul they called on Steffe was a bad call. You usually don't call a baby foul in that situation. Didn't appear to touch him during the shot.
Shouldn't have made a difference though. We had too many stupid TOs.
Really hate to lose to the hillbilly horse humpers!
Getting swept by a Murray team at home that should be firing their coach is not a good sign for the future
Too many turnovers and poor free throw shooting did in The Dawgs tonight.
A really sad loss.
This team just has too many flaws.
About ready for the offseason, which I’m sure will be volatile, as they pretty much all are these days.
Another brutal game for Hensley (missed bunnies, missed free throws, bobbling the ball out of bounds with 6 seconds left, leaving the final shot short) and Sharp (turnovers, bad decisions, turnovers).
I would start somebody else (Aligbe, Moreno) at the 5 next game and leave Sharp on the bench indefinitely. He's unplayable.
Queue up the Waterboy meme…this team is finding ways to lose right now and it’s super frustrating to watch. Low energy in the first half…dig yourself out of the hole, only to shoot yourself in the foot down the stretch. Officiating sucked but it never should have come down to that.
I went from excited about Arch madness to depressed in a week. I hope they figure things out again soon, but this late in the season, maybe this is just who we are.
About the only positives I can come up with is Mayo likely will play better than he did tonight if/when he gets healthier and Hensley can’t keep playing like this, can he?
But all in all … demoralizing night.
Well we suck again. Our chances of getting that noon time a lot on Thursday just went up dramatically. This is so depressing.
While I appreciate coach Nagy and his brutal honesty about this team but it's getting old listening to him continue to talk about this team being slow on offense no energy and no urgency to fight if that is the case is it the players tuning out the staff or is the staff not getting thru at any rate this late in the season this should not be happening and to continue to see this team preform this way is really disheartening
No energy first half, but at one point the camera showed the bench, and guess who had no energy and bad body language? the whole coaching staff
They appeared very hangdog, just sitting there with a sour expression. I would have preferred to see them up and yelling or something, trying to psych up the team.
This was one of our worst losses this year, because 1) Murray isn't especially talented, 2) Ferguson, who they usually count on, didn't contribute much - 6 pts., and 3) they had to be road weary and not nearly as rested as us.
I honestly thought when we got up by 6 we were going to run them out of the gym. They shot 31%. We shot 46%. Nope.
Poor 3-pt shooting and careless TOs killed us.
It is my belief that Hensley is not a well person. He has not looked, acted nor played well for several games now. Mayo is obviously not 100%, so...here we are. I Hope JH gets to feeling better for his own sake.

James Madison
For this group to be able to compete, they have to play hard, together and with confidence for a full 40 minutes. When they have lulls in those areas, they can be beat by anyone, and in some cases look really bad in doing so.
Davis and Dibba have to be the guys. Dibba has a tendancy to dissapear for large stretches which really hurts SIU. For whatever reason, Hensley is playing with zero confidence, and Sharp is simply forcing way too much when things aren't there instead of being patient and letting things develop (very important for a point guard).
There are other roster flaws, but these are the killers from what I've seen.
