Can someone explain this? We beat the E at their place, yet our NET goes down 3 and theirs goes up the same?
Point differential matters. It’s why a bubble team like Northern Iowa should be trying to run the score up every night regardless of opponent

Aha! Thanks. 👍

Very good article on Greg Lansing. He's very candid that he would have been fired long ago if they had the money for a buyout.

The NET is fixed to cheat the little guys.

Crap, one day after my Athletic sub expired 🙄

“I like coaching at this level,” he says. “I was at Iowa for seven years, so I got to see the elite level and how big-time those programs are. The money is insane. The rich are getting richer; it’s almost like they’re trying to weed the mid-majors out. But I love this level because you don’t have to deal with the shoe company problems, some of the (street) agent problems, the one-and-done guys.
“I want to have an impact on these players’ lives. I want to get them ready because the ball’s going to stop bouncing someday. … Look, I want to win, but we don’t have to cheat. We’re not going to cheat. So this is a good level.”

OT effect score? because we almost lost, and they almost won?
I kept hearing all these great basketball minds talk about how Greg Lansing is such a good coach, teacher of the game, blah blah blah over the years and I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt because of it, but if he can’t do better than this with Tyreke Key, Jordan Barnes, and Christian Williams on his team he should get the axe. Mercy.
A Lansing firing is way overdue
I hope there is as an epic of a speech as Royce Waltman-
“I can’t get a head coaching job, because if you get fired for cheating you can get rehired, but if you get fired for losing it’s like you have leprosy. Young coaches need to bear that in mind. Cheating and not graduating players won’t get you in trouble, but that damn losing will,” Waltman jested. “I’d like to stay in basketball, but I’m realistic. I don’t want to go back to Bedford High School and coach the team and that’s about the only job I could get. For the right guy, I’d be an assistant, I’d be a scout. I’m not ready to retire.”
(he has a very similar track record, come in, win big, settle back in the valley)
I think there would be a lot of teams (SIU with PT) a will to take a flier on a losing coach. The problem is negotiating a contract where they don't make more than 150k if they continue to lose.
“The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody has decided not to see.”
