That Aces meltdown was painful to watch. They finally take the lead 54-53 with ~3:30 to go and then just folded.

Loyola is only up 3 with a minute left, Valpo ball.
LU hangs on to win by 2.
Wow, horrible last possession by Valpo with a chance to tie or take the lead. Loyola barely hangs on at home.

Getting tackled didn't help them.
Craving a McBride Special!

Completely agree! That was a blatant foul on Valpo's last possession. If I were Valpo's coach, I would have gone ballistic.
I would prefer not to see MSU in the first game thanks
Agree. MSU is long, athletic, talented. I'm surprised by their underwhelming record, but I think they're starting to figure it out. Would not want to play them on a neutral site.
The good thing about is that scenario with the bears is that they would be playing on about 21 hours of rest.
MSU is such a dangerous team. It'd be nice to not have to see them at all in the tourney. They're enigmatic, but extremely talented and they're a bad match-up for SIU.

Agree about Mo State...and to be honest Evansville too...assuming they get DeAndre Williams back before the tournament with a couple games to gel (this is still the same team that beat Kentucky and has a lot of individual talent). I would much prefer the 8-9 winner.
I think they're a bad matchup for anybody in the MVC, because they're starting to play better - that first half is the best they've looked in the games I've seen them. (We also did not play great team D and gave them some easy ones though.)
The WV transfer LaMont West has not been much of a factor and doesn't play much. He played more at WV. Either he's a head case or Ford doesn't care for his defense. Guys like DaSilva, Cook, Prim are tough!

I've seen a decent amount of Mo State games throughout the year. To be blunt, I'm shocked West lasted a minute under Huggins at West Virginia. Doesn't seem to play hard, very questionable shot selection, poor body language, etc. He, along with the Bears' struggles at point guard, is one of the main reasons that team has underachieved so badly, and I'm not surprised he's playing less for them now.
