Transfergate is ruining college basketball for me.
Yep - complete chaos! It will hurt mids most I'm afraid. A lot of players that are very successful at this level will get picked off by the big uglies (schools)!
The NCAA needs to be much tougher about being able to transfer and being able to play immediately! That should be allowed only in very rare cases.
My concern is that they are going to be more lax. This would definitely hurt mid majors more than the current system already is. It will specifically hurt teams who are trying to rebuild. Imagine players not wanting to stay 3+ years, and leave to go elsewhere, to win.
Liam Robbins to Minnesota
As has been noted, his uncle was just named Minnesota's associate head coach. Makes you wonder if he would have transferred at all if not for that particular connection.
Sucks for Drake and the MVC.
BOOOOOO!!!!
Purdue center 7'3 Matt Haarms enters the transfer portal. RS JR eligible to play right away. Come on Painter, send him our way!

7-3 ? Somebody and I do not remember who it was would be needing a nipple piercing
Missouri State just picked up a 7-footer from University of Hawaii.
Dawson Carper will have to sit out next year at Missouri State, unless the rule changes this summer. Averaged 6.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg as a Sophomore at Hawaii.
If the rule changes, and Carper gets to play this year, Missouri State could have a formidable post presence with Carper and Prim in the paint.
Missouri State just picked up another commit: Keaton Hervey 6'7" G/F New Mexico JC
I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been a "ton" of transfers from Evansville, following the Walter McCarty circus. Looks like they've had a couple but Lichliter appears to have restored some sense of stability......at least on the surface.

Deandre Williams is the big domino. If he bolts, they're screwed.
Regardless, wouldn't be surprising to see Illinois State and Evansville hold onto their 9-10 seed combo in St. Louis for at least another year.
Kind of seems like a practice player to me. While important to have not that big of a deal. I am sure Ben knows what he is doing though
Not surprised about this. What would surprise me is if Evansville avoids Thursday anytime in the foreseeable future.
