Remember how I was saying watch out for Valpo they were the sleeper ?
Never mind 😀
Don't look now. Valpo is all alone in 1st place.
E'ville laying the wood to Loyola.
This is stunning. I know the league is balanced. But no excuse for Loyola to get their A$$ kicked like that against a below average Evansville team.
Bradley are 0-3. Really thought they would be decent this year. I think Wardle’s seat is getting pretty hot.
Tonight proves how awful the valley is... Every team is capable of being absolutely atrocious. Not one consistent team. ISU barely hangs on against UNI at home.. SIU and Loyola get absolutely embarrassed. Indiana State who had a promising non conference gets whacked at home by Missouri State. It will be an interesting race... But a really bad one. Bad teams with the capability of getting blown out any night by anyone. Get ready for a bunch of 9-9 tie breakers for seeding in march. yuck.
ILL ST is going to win this conference though, they should be 3-0 and are the best team.

Mediocrity is not fun to watch. But it doesn't really matter who wins the MVC. They're not getting an at-large NCAA berth anyway.

Yea I will still take Loyola or Valpo thanks.
Pretty good game at Loyola on ESPN2. Both teams look a lot better than SIU. Loyola up 3 on ISURed late in the 1st.
Entertaining finish to the Loyola Redbirds game - Loyola hangs on
Indiana State wins by 6 in OT at Evansville.
Mo State wins at Bradley, 69-64.

0-4 now. Bradley fans are not pleased. One of the posters points out that the top two teams in the league are from the Horizon.
It's a similar situation up there. Here are a few quotes from the Star before the game:
"We thought these Braves had arrived last season when they notched 20 wins. The roster is virtually the same as last year. The coach is the same."
"Fans, of course, always have ideas. On the Journal Star message boards, threads show their tension. “Fire Wardle” and “Wardle has lost this team” and “Dead on Arrival” are among the discussion threads."
Wardle's contract runs through 2023 so it's unlikely they will make a change anytime soon.
SIU, ISU and Bradley have all been major disappointments, and all three coaches deserve the heat they’re catching. Hard to believe Bradley blew a 14-point lead at home to Mo State.
Bad for the league, and I’m sure attendance at Arch Madness will suffer as a result.
This league is painfully mediocre now, the winner may end up with a meager 14 seed
It's too bad the bottom of the league wasn't this good a while back when we had multiple elite programs (including SIU); would've definitely helped with seeding.
