Yeah, one quality Hinson teams seem to share is a good February, no idea why but they do play well the second time through the league.... Anyway, I just still can't believe this team will play Thursday when in my mind Missouri State, Bradley, UNI, Evansville and Indiana State are all worse.. But who knows?

The MVC is just too weak this year for Southern not to course correct to some extent. I still think it's entirely possible they end up at 11-7 and third in the league or something like that, but the damage is done, and the senior-loaded roster has been squandered. If they rise up and win Arch Madness, they're looking at a putrid seed in the tournament and a first-round stomping.

So the team rallies a bit, so what? This league has fallen so much in quality it isn't funny. There is not one team in this league that I think would have a chance to win an NCAA tournament game no matter the seed. And the Valley would be lucky not to end up in the last 4 playoff.
