Indiana State is 5-0 in the Valley and has losses to Southern Indiana, Duquesne, and Northern Illinois in the middle of that.  Wild.

Murray State has played two away games, Valpo and Evansville. Stay tuned.

Who do we miss this year? At Belmont and at Valpo?

In St has two good wins (home vs Drake and away vs us), but overall they've had a pretty easy conference schedule so far (getting ready to play their 4th game in a row against a bottom 4 team). To be fair to them, they've won them all, but I expect them to return to earth over that stretch.

@siu_2011 not to mention I think they were fortunate to get the two tough games early. It isn’t the same grind as getting SIU and Drake mixed in with Belmont, Murray, Bradley, etc… but like you said. To their credit, they haven’t lost yet.

Southern's conference schedule is really front-loaded this year. If we can win one of the next two, that sets us up really well.

We'll be a slight underdog in both Cedar Falls and Terre Haute, though, and I don't really feel great about our chances at either place given how anemic our offense has been.

Indiana State is a much better team than Northern Iowa this year. I know Cedar Falls has not been kind to Southern over the years, but this is a really young and vulnerable UNI team playing all year without two of their projected top 3-4 players (Phyfe and Heise). I actually think SIU will/should be favored in that one.

We play at Valpo and, as always, I will be there with the wife (who I met in Carbondale)!  If anyone else is making the trip, let me know.  There are some pretty good food places to hit before the game.

Agree: I'm not concerned with the road game at UNI and expect we'll be favored. We had better bring our offense to Indiana State though.
