That staff looks like it may be a good one. I wouldn't be surprised to see Illinois State as a contender at some point in the near future.

It would be nice to see the schools that actually have fans to be the better schools in this conference. SIU, Illinois State, Murray, and maybe a few others.

UNI has lost their 2 best players and more. I would imagine they will be pre-season bottom 5 unless they pull off some portal magic!
Unless there are major late portal defections, I'd have to think Drake will be the favorite next year, with Missouri State probably #2 after restocking nicely (you could probably make a case for #1 if Mosely returns).
After that ... opportunity certainly knocks for teams like SIU, Bradley and maybe even Indiana State. The portal has ripped through the Valley pretty ruthlessly, and with Murray and Belmont looking down, next year could be kinda ugly.
Missouri Valley is going to be bad next year. Feels like the years after Wichita State where Berry had a bad SIU team somewhat competing and making it to Saturday. I think long-term though, things will be fine.
I think Missouri State will be favorites if Mosley is back and then Drake. And then probably SIU behind that. The rest are either rebuilding or lost huge players to the portal and haven’t upgraded.
As things stand right now, I honestly would not be surprised to see SIU picked preseason #2 or #3.
It has been a brutal portal season.
