There are rumblings that Bradley may lose Terry Roberts to the transfer portal. Tough loss if true.

This is sad. Mid-majors are in trouble. It's now the developmental league for power conferences. The mvc has lost a great percentage of it's best players the last 3 years. Just watched Laravia play for Wake Forest in the NIT the other night. He was 2nd team all ACC this year. Imagine how good a team like Indiana State would be with Laravia and a healthy Tyreke Key. If Southern is able to keep players like Jones and Domask for their entire college career that will speak volumes about the positive culture Mullins in developing!
As it waters down our conference, which in turn affects SIU, it is indeed not ideal. The good news, as you mention, is that one of the Mullin's strengths is team buy in and cohesiveness. If they are ever able to recruit at a high level this program could get back to the glory days. I remain confident that it may still happen.
Any update on if Mullins has had his meetings with players yet? I'm curious if we may have another miracle where we lose very little/nothing or if we just aren't to that point in our offseason yet?
Don't want to lose any top talent obviously and it would suck to lose players committed to SIU but I really think they need more than 1 open scholarship this offseason and to use those scholarships wisely.
UIC's Jalen Johnson joined the portal. Averaged 2.1 PPG for the Flames

Who expected the transfer portal to be anything else than a bonus for the big boys?

I get that, and I know several people feel the same way. For the record, I don't completely disagree. But I'm seriously curious about this, partially because there is a lot of movement already and literally nothing from SIU. Have the meetings happened yet?

It's certainly helping the Big 10. 🤣
Sorry, that was too easy.
Go Peacocks!
March on triumphantly!

While some very good mid major players are jumping ship to the big boys, some very good underutilized and/or under-appreciated players on the big boys are going to Mid Majors. I'll comment here again that it has been incredibly impressive that Mullins and his staff have been able to keep their core together in the first 3 years of the program, although I know we're anxiously waiting news on this years potential player movement.

This is the second straight year with inner conference transfer...I wonder if this becomes much more commonplace moving forward (it hasn't been in the past).
