How come when the Ramblers have a bad day its a bad feel bad Yada Yada but when the Salukis have a similar day its lack of execution need a new scheme etc just want to know why the discrepancy in appearance of the same problem
Because one made the NCAA Tournament and the other was a .500 Valley team?

Because one team has been successful recently and one team hasn't
One is established and veteran one is young and building

Sure.

Loyola looked neither veteran nor established. They did however, do an amazing imitation of SIU.
March on triumphantly!

Most of the year the starting lineup consisted of 4 JR's and a SR. I don't know about statistically, but in my perception, that is NOT young.

SIU was just below middle of the pack in experience (184 of 358) averaging 1.88 years. The minutes continuity from last season was 59.3% (97th in the country). Not an old team by any stretch but not really a young team either. And they're going to replace 2 5th year Seniors with Freshmen next year.

I thought the same thing, maroonloon: lots of standing around watching the guy with the ball try to penetrate and kick out. They looked JUST like us for most of that game.
Thanks for representing, Loyola 🙄 --now eff off to the A-10.
(Inflammatory political snark)
They had an awful shooting day, held a potent OSU team to 54. Can't beat anybody shooting like that.
Illinois trying to repeat last year against Loyola. UTC is good..beat Murray by 11.

Murray beat Chattanooga by 11 and Belmont beat them by 8. They do have 2 nice wins against #72 Furman
Illinois is in big trouble. Down 20-6 with 10:51 left in the 1st.
Lot of foul trouble for the Mocs and they really failed to extend the lead when they had a chance
