7-1 center and best player didn’t play Michigan . And it was a close game until the final few minutes.
Purdue leads Illini by about 10 at halftime on big Fox.

Fun first half. Purdue is really good. Edey took it to Kofi Cockburn in the first half. Illinois is undefeated in the Big Ten but hasn't faced any of the big boys yet until today.
Purdue's tough. Ivey is one of the most exciting players in college bball! Three NBA players on that team.

Yeah Painter is a good coach but I don't think he'll ever put a team over the top. That was some kind of meltdown and it happens often with his teams. That last shot in regulation was awful.

Yeah all that talent and in danger of being 3-3 in the Big Ten. Ivey is tremendous, so much athleticism. He glides to the basket.

96-88 final. Boilers most definitely should have closed this out long ago against the Illini.

Was at the game, Kofi is good but he just doesn't have a lot of powder in the keg. He was sucking air after 6 minutes into the game. Was right behind the bench. The Two PU bigs did a number on him. Maybe he was gassed from Friday. But he seems to run out of energy early and often. Reminiscent of Krutwig game. He struggles against big guys his size, but there aren't too many like him.
