And Illinois has played without Coburn for basically all of both overtime and a lot of the regular game too.
Was at the game, Kofi is good but he just doesn't have a lot of powder in the keg. He was sucking air after 6 minutes into the game. Was right behind the bench. The Two PU bigs did a number on him. Maybe he was gassed from Friday. But he seems to run out of energy early and often. Reminiscent of Krutwig game. He struggles against big guys his size, but there aren't too many like him.
Kofi will play in the NBA but never be a great big man. When Loyola beat them in the NCAA last year, Kofi outscored Krut 21 - 19 but in assists and rebounds, Krut blew him away and it wasn't close.
The Illinois player I love is Curbelo - great passer and great penetrator. That spinning layup he made to send it to OT was an ESPN highlight reel. Also made some terrific passes. Amazing for a guy who hadn't played in two months.
Purdue is talented, but they're not going to win a Nat'l Championship. Lost at Rutgers, a team Illinois beat by 35!

Oh yeah, Kofi will be in the NBA and may do well if he can increase his stamina. Purdue HAS the talent to win it all, but the Big 10 has disappointed for years now (think last year's NCAA with nine teams sent. Sad. The better team clearly won today. While possible, simply because it's college basketball, the Illini won't win it either.
March on triumphantly!
Maryland beats Illinois by 15 or so. I believe Kofi was out with an injury.
The great Bruce Pearl may be No. 1 in the land. Auburn beats Kentucky 80-71.
Auburn had 36 first place votes to Gonzaga 25 this week, but somehow finished 2.
Im sure that will be corrected this week and they will leap frog the Zags.
Quite a season for Illini fans’ favorite coach. 🥲

When you get caught cheating 86 times then get caught up in the FBI investigation yet are still coaching. Great guy 🤣

That’s why I posted it, Dark Lord. 😁
Really fun game on ESPN right now between Texas Tech and Kansas in Double OT.
Apparently Yesufu hasn't adjusted at all to the Big 12 because he's getting no run on this Kansas team

Nope, but Jalen Coleman-Lands was out there for Kansas. He turns 26 in July. This is his SEVENTH season in college lol crazy
Watching Wyoming vs Colorado State on FS1. The job Jeff Linder has done at Wyoming has been amazing. In year 2 he has them at 16-3 and 35th in NET. And this is despite them losing their best player in the transfer portal last summer. If you can get this much talent to Wyoming then I don't want to hear any excuses from other schools lol

I'm wondering how Drake Jeffries from Mattoon, IL ended up at Wyoming. Think he was JD Muila's teammate at JUCO too.

Been there briefly a couple of times. I just know Wyoming is the windiest state in the country!
I love Bozeman out that way - nice college town!
Southern Indiana voted to go to D1, probably will end up in the OVC.
