Hoping everyone returns, however with todays Portal/NIL anything is possible. Quite obvious our biggest need is replacing X and TB, along with McGee/Stulic. 4 scholarships available?

With the players listed below, does anyone know if any additional years are possible? i e is AJ done after next year?

5th year Seniors Next Year (if they choose their Covid Year)

J Hensley

Chris Cross

Seniors Next Year:

Troy

Big C

AJ

Juniors Next Year:

Scottie

Trey

Sophs Next Year:

KD

Cade ( medical redshirt)

Sharp

Stulic had 2 years of eligibility according to the press release when he signed

@salukiworld You are right about the press release. He only played 4 games last year so he probably received a medical redshirt.

With the atmosphere now happening in college sports, I think it's a waste of brain power to try to figure out who's going to be on a team from one season to the next. It's not going to look the same.

If everybody stays, we’re fine at the 3-4-5 spots.  But the only guards with ANY experience are Trey Miller & Sheridan Sharp.  That’s troubling.  We’d better be hitting the portal or jucos hard for some stud guards.

Can someone get in Brock Harding's ear at Iowa?  He fell out of the rotation there, he'd be an amazing Valley player

Most certainly agree on the 3-4-5 positions. Guards are most definitely a must in the portal, or JUCO ranks.

Also, I had completely forgotten about Mr. Harding. Wondering if any bridges were burned after he committed to Iowa? I believe SIU recruited him extremely hard, and felt positive about their relationship.

He's only a Freshmen...I doubt he moves after just one year of not playing unless he just doesn't like the outlook. Their coach is a tool, so who knows. I wouldn't hold my breath.

We certainly need some guards, but as of right now I see two budding stars in AJ and Scottie.

I would very much like to be wrong, I have no inside information, and this is based entirely on what I would do in his shoes, but I suspect Scottie will enter the portal at season's end faster than you can say "Hensley gets more PT." Or perhaps "My coach doesn't know what to do with a true big."

Scottie is playing great right now… pretty sure we know how to use him, he looks happy and engaged. The big rotation is game plan specific. The mental gymnastics you guys are doing these days to make Mullins out to be a bad coach is getting hysterical. I swear lots of you are rooting for failure.

For a coach that can’t recruit, can’t develop players, can’t coach an offense, can’t use a big correctly, along with so many other flaws, Mullins is doing a pretty good job!

No one is saying he's a terrible coach. It's just that some of us aren't OK with being in fourth place, with considerable distance between the middle of the pack and the top two.

As for SE, I hope you're right that he's happy as a clam and isn't thinking about bolting. I was merely saying how I would feel if I were Scottie.

IF he enters the portal, he will be snapped up very quickly, likely by someone who won't forget that there's a behemoth sitting on the bench while the lines of Brodie is eating us up inside.

I don't want Mullins to fail; I just want him to get better: at big-man management and point-guard management. That is all.

No you want to be the guy who said see I told you so.  I made 40 predictions on a fan site and I got this one right and was the first to make the comment! Let me take a bow.
