Anyone else surprised SIU leads the MVC in attendance?

The crowds have been bad for some road games, but wow.

Hope Southern wakes up quick in the second half, not like this offense is great coming from behind, at least not down this much.

I still wouldn’t be surprised to see this come down to the wire, though

It's surprising considering this is the first decent team that's been to Carbondale this year.  Attendance seems down around college basketball probably due to COVID.

teams are now doubling marcus when he gets the ball, and lance is not getting to the rim.  those are really our best two scoring options.  leaves us living and dying with the three ball.

The offense is tough to watch too often. It has not been a good broadcast so far (I think Trude has called every UNI player “Nate” at some point) but they did correctly note it takes way too long to get anything going. And too many guys so damn tentative. Need an attacking mindset and a little swagger.

If Lance isn't attacking, really only Domask and Coupet are the players on this team that are able to create their own shot out of the non-Filewich players.  Everyone else is pretty much a catch and shoot player.

Pretty much. Jones is such a key. Would like to see Banks and D’Amico get to the lane more.

I still think SIU can win this game but I generally think this team is gonna struggle to finish .500 in the Valley if they can't get this at home.  You can almost chalk up 8 losses to Loyola, UNI, Missouri St, and Drake.  This team is gonna have some tough decisions to make in the offseason if they want to take that next step because Murray and Belmont are coming and it's not going to get any easier.

Good things happen when Jones gets to the rim

Is anyone familiar with turf toe?

Is that the type of injury that wouldn’t heal during the season even if Jones sat for a couple weeks?

In our statistics/analytics driven world I have an idea for a new statistical category....

Lane violations created.

JD Muila would be the national leader.

7 team fouls on Northern Iowa with 12:51 left in the game.  SIU down 4 and a FT coming, great adjustments out of the half

I said this a couple games ago, i was curious if it was a stat that was actually kept someplace. Im sure he would be leading the nation at this point. Problem is, i don't think he has ever made a free throw after a lane violation lol

I've seen more lane violations this year in SIU games than I think I've seen in my life.
