I certainly hope we don't get complaints that we barely beat a crap BIG XII team. OSU was clearly the more gifted/talented team, Size, strength, quickness, and ability. Gutsy win, without AJ, Cade, and Sharp. and despite the horrid referees. As I have said numerous times, this team is going to surprise the naysayers. A10 and BIG XII victories. Any believers yet?
GO DAWGS!!!
I'm not sure they were the more gifted team. They were certainly bigger and that guard was really good and a great shooter...but that's it. They had no one as quick as XJ - thus all the fouls - and Clarence, although undersized, was quicker than any of their bigs. I also loved the tough D from Davis, D'Amico, etc. And 4-5 from 3 by Trent Brown??? Awesome!
Basketball is a team game. It's not always the team with the most talented that wins.
GoDawgs!
What a game! What a game! What a game! (Is this the correct amount of times to say this?)
Said after the Indiana State disaster that beating SLU and Oklahoma State would more than make up for that, and that's what they did.
I don't even think this was one of XJ's 3 best games of the season which is incredible given how good he was tonight. He really changes the course of this season himself by looking like prime Kemba Walker out there every night.
This team has been fun as hell and we’re only eight games in. Plenty of credit to go around, but XJ deserves all the praise coming his way. He is balling. Thought that Brown 3 early in the second half when the Pokes were up 4 was one of the biggest shots of the game.
Disgraceful officiating at the end. They almost cost Southern a massive win. Outrageous!
Tell Snacks to make a few extra recruiting calls this week. 😀

Can we not. We can critique the officiating without blaming it on one of them being a woman.
That entire crew was poor.

She called the bizarre technical foul I’m pretty sure. So any criticism is warranted.
Well, you're 100 percent wrong, as Antinio Petty was the ref who called the T on D'Amico. So give it a rest.

Fair enough. Not trying to argue, I just thought she did. Terrible officiating all around, especially late, and she was apart of it.

That one call on Miller I think it was when he was stuck guarding their big guy was terrible. They were muscling each other and the guy just knocked Miller back with his elbow. I was shocked she didn't call a foul, but a second later she called one on Miller for getting back into trying to guard their big. She's pretty bad, but the worst call of the game was by a man - that ridiculous tech on D'Amico for being psyched about a great D play he made - certainly was NOT taunting but almost cost us the game.
Then we have that craziness at the end.

Me neither, but then it's a rare ref I do like, man or woman! LOL
Someone on Reddit compiled all the calls:
I have no idea how this was overturned..
I can't believe this one...
Think they might the right call here, foul was called with .5 left
Maybe .1 of the clock was early here but that shouldn't have been enough to stop this play. It completely made Kennard's intentional FT miss meaningless
