I don't know how many steals Jones got credit for, but I'm sure of at least 2 plays where he likely wouldn't have gotten credit for a steal but disrupted the play enough to create a turnover and get the ball back to the Salukis.  He was really impressive tonight.

I'm a little worried Brown and Harvey won't be back anytime soon. Backs are tricky, and Brown's doesn't seem to be getting better. Sounds like Harvey has a long time, ongoing medical issue that is really bad right now. Sounds like a real debilitating type issue. Even if Brown and Harvey come back, it may be a while before they are 100%. Our much anticipated depth strength has yet to materialized this year due to injuries. We have kind of been snake bit so far!

Northeastern was the better team (tonight) period.  But if the Salukis can somehow steal a win from Creighton tomorrow, all is well.

I will do a cartwheel in my living room and then promptly go to the ER if we beat Creighton tomorrow.

I wouldn’t bet any money on it, not even 10 bucks.

We can if we shoot the way we normally do and play tough D like tonight. They won't play D like NU either. If Jones had hit a few 3s, would have had 30. If Marcus had an average night, we play Colo. State. Hopefully Freighton will be as tired as we will be, although they aren't playing anyone 38 - 40 minutes like we are.

Colo State had a very close game with Bradley, but blew out Creighton (20 - 34 from 3)

No it is not. You play 1 second in a ncaa D1 basketball game and you are no longer qualified to redshirt. In ncaa football you can play in up to 4 games as a freshman and still redshirt, but bball is different. D'Amico cannot redshirt now.

Craptacular.

Don't stand a chance with cr8ton.

At the risk of pissing off Jabman again, I'm going to agree with you.  Creighton is going to clean our clocks tomorrow.  But I'll still be rooting my ass off for the Dawgs!  😆

Agree 100%.  Jones had the Tony Young defense going for a few possessions in the first half.  Was frustrating the ball handlers.  Fun to watch and he somehow kept it up while carrying the offense a lot of possessions.

Unless they've changed the rules, you can't play one minute in bball and still redshirt unless it's medical.

In football, you can play in 4 games.

Does anyone else see a need for a TRUE quality PG and moving Jones to SG?

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

We would have a decent shot at Creighton with a full, rested squad. Given the minutes Domask, Verplancken and Jones have played in the last 2 games over 3 days, the dynamic changes. Especially with our injury driven short bench.

Have faith.  Mullins & staff will get us one for next year.  This year is a lost cause, however.  Banks just doesn't have the offensive game to even keep teams honest at this level.  He wasn't a shooter at the HS level, either, but got his points off the drive.  I really expected him to be more like Jones in that regard, but so far in his college career he doesn't seem to have the strength to pull it off.

The excuses are flowing freely tonight.  My goodness.

And this isn’t directed at anyone in particular.

This was a bad loss.  This team hasn’t looked good in any game so far.  We were fortunate that Colorado played very poorly after getting up 12-1 Friday.

And Domask making several more shots doesn’t change the outcome of this game.

Instead of losing by 12, we lose by 3 or 4.  Still  unacceptable.

No.  LOL  Not sure that would help unless we get a point guard who can score 14 ppg.

Not sure how that would affect LJ, because he doesn't do a bad job at point and is still an offensive machine.

It would be nice to get some scoring from Banks. He played good D tonight, but Coupet got 32 minutes, which he should. Only offense besides Jones.

Fact is, we need a more balanced offense. With just Domask and Jones scoring, we'll have trouble winning games. Verp, Jones, and Domask were all on against Colorado and we won.
