How can we forget Rob Kirsner under the immortal Joe Gottfried
And the most amazing thing about Mullins' career is he twice went to two NCAAs. Very few people do that. 😊
@spike No, it's not a joke. Mullins was a GREAT player for SIU. I've seen all the great Saluki PGs play (my favorite was your homeboy John "Mouse" Garrett) and none of them could do what X is doing now. He's the best player on the floor every time he steps on the court.
X has to be at least the best true PG we've had since Bryan Mullins was in uniform, but let's see if X can keep this up for the entire year. I bet he can, or at least come close.
The good news is that whether or not XJ is the best PG to date will be moot after 4 years of Sheridan Sharp. Once healthy (almost hoping he redshirts) and gains additional weight, he is going to make everyone forget about previous PGs. I say this with tongue in cheek, but kidding aside I really think he has a chance to be a difference making PG once it's all said and done.
I hope so because IIRC the last PG we got from the state of Indiana was Kendall Brown-Surles and...well that was not a fun time.
Sheridan Sharpe has a long way to go. His shot is too flat and he needs to put on some muscle. I hope Trey Miller steps it up, so we can redshirt Sharpe.

As I said, tongue in cheek. He came in at 140lbs !!! He put on 20lbs on muscle, however, in just a few weeks in the program. I also am hoping he can redshirt as I honestly think that is best for him and the program. As you noted, here's hoping Miller makes strides a lot faster than he has to this point. I remain hopeful in that.
