Hopefully the strength of schedule is shaping up. College of Charleston, what should be 3 decent mid majors in the MTE and so far UF and OSU on the road. At Queens? Would be nice if we could play SLU, but I haven't heard anything and I think the agreed upon series has ended.

Queens has their schedule out and SIU wasn't on there so that wasn't a home and home
Never been to Hertz Arena in Estero (it's had several names since it opened in the late '90s) but have driven past there a few times. It's right along Interstate 75, southeast of Fort Myers and north of Bonita Springs, and is easily visible from the highway. The arena seats around 7,200 and is the home of the Florida Everblades minor-league hockey team. Interestingly, it is not Florida Gulf Coast's home arena even though the campus is only a few miles away (FGCU has an on-campus facility). Lots to see and do in the area, although Fort Myers Beach -- which used to be a great getaway spot --remains pretty beat up from Hurricane Ian.
@salukiworld Chomp Chomp. But what do I know? I apparently never have any good info.
Dawgs looking at two games in Florida. I heard Fort Myers is nice as well.
Kudos to this guy!
Stayed at Fort Myers Beach more than once... Sitting in a little bar right there on the beach having a Yuengling and eating stone crab claws, checking out the view... great memories.
Michelle Suarez ( retired executive director for the SIU alumni association) retired to Estero, Florida. So there will be some type of alumni gathering spot during the event. I have a friend that lives north of there. So it’s just a plane flight cost away! Free stay and he has car. A win win!
Estero is also within a half hour of Naples, which is a pretty swanky Florida vacation spot.
As for the tournament, I’m good with playing in a field that might be a little less sexy considering they already have a couple power conference teams on the schedule in Oklahoma State and Florida, but I’m hoping there is some solid midmajor competition once we start hearing who else is in the field.
SIU at Oklahoma State round 3 will be Nov. 13, according to Rocco Miller. Shapes up as a tough November.
Southern Indiana is coming to Carbondale on December 7th per https://twitter.com/RoccoMiller8/status/1811895169152876929
This is what the schedule looks like, plus the MTE

This won't be announced for a while, but SIU will face Bradley in the early Missouri Valley Conference game.
Just 1 early game this year?
Freaking hate Bradley. We need to destroy them early in the season and take away their will. Did I mention how much I hate Bradley and their obnoxious fans? This won't be announced for a while, but SIU will face Bradley in the early Missouri Valley Conference game.

So NDSU comes to Carbondale this year and we go to Fargo next year
