EKU and LaTech do not play a D2, just BSU, Rich., and SIU. Sucks that they couldn't find a D1 team ... sounds like a shit tournament to me.
The women's side is very good and the Redturds get to play in it with teams like Texas, W. Virg., and Boise.
Having a D2 in the tournament is ridiculous. They couldn’t find any other D1 that needed a tournament? C’mon!EKU and LaTech do not play a D2, just BSU, Rich., and SIU. Sucks that they couldn't find a D1 team ... sounds like a shit tournament to me.

University of Florida’s basketball player Olivier Rioux at 7 feet, 9 inches is the world's tallest teen.
I just got my cable reconnected today so I can watch Saluki and Illini basketball. The Saluki schedule doesn't show which stations carry each game. I've got ESPN+ on-line. What channels might also have Saluki games? Will ESPNU or Bally Midwest have any games?

Most games will be on ESPN+.
The Florida game will be on SEC Network which is on most cable/streaming providers.
The MTE will be on FloHoops which is an overpriced subscription service.
CBS Sports Network and ESPN2/ESPNU will have the option to pick up games as the season goes on.
Instead of Bally Sports, the MVC has move to Gray Media for that package. Those games should be airing on MeTV in Southern Illinois (KFVS 12.4). This is the map for the entire area what channels will be airing those games. I think these games will be on ESPN+ too with no blackouts
I hope our scheduling can get an upgrade. I’m not a fan of D2 regular season games, especially at home. That’s not what I expect when I buy season tix.
I am not sure in what thread this reply should go in, but since the previous thread mentioned season tickets I thought I’d place it here.
We arrived at the game last night planning to eat in the First Mid Bank Lounge located on the lower level by the old main entrance. Access to this lounge was one of the perks of buying season tickets at the level we did. Last year they had 17th Street BBQ there and years before a regular concession stand with drinks, food, and snacks.
When our season tickets arrived in the mail, we noticed there were no passes for the lounge inside. We figured we would check in by name like we had before when we forgot our passes. Much to our surprise and dismay, when we arrived last night, we were told the lounge was now open to everyone and there was no food being sold, only drinks and popcorn.
For years we also used to get a paper printout of the rosters for both the Salukis and the opponent. That stopped a couple of years ago. While we still enjoy the privilege of parking closer to the entrance, we are disappointed in this loss of a perk. We loved sitting in the lounge eating our pregame meal and visiting with other Saluki fans.

I have done season tickets for several years but chose not to this year. This comes for several reasons.
1. Starting a second business
2. just had a second child
3. Some displeasure over the Mullins deal, which I’m not here to debate. Just stating a fact.
This season I’m going to be at most games when I can and taking advantage of the ticket specials. The thing is, the perks of season tickets just suck. Over the last few years, I’ve been a season ticket holder of the STL Cardinals, STL Blues, Indianapolis Colts, and SIU Football/Basketball and SIU is the only one that offer absolutely no perks in return, not even a cheaper per game price. They’re simply relying on you being a super fan to buy season tickets. They’d probably sell more if there was some value offered with them.
@kyle_saluki_17 You are right in that there is not much in terms of perks except for parking, unless you buy at the “Cook Club” level. I really don’t understand why. It cannot cost them that much to not print rosters. It was nice having a place to sit and eat before the game.
i have never understood why they do not do a 50/50 at the games. If I remember right they used to, at least at football games. Pay three or four students to sell tickets. I would think you would make some money.
Finally, did they not do the golf tournament and dinner this year?
Good luck with the second business and the second child.
Don't season ticket holders get a choice of the better seats?
On perks for season tix holders. I agree. You also used to get a nice pin for your hat or lapel. People see the pins on my ballcap and ask me where I got them. The lounge was a nice perk. I think it must have something to do with Banterra, since the lounge was FirstMid/OldNat. Kind of like USFWS closing off roads around Devils Kitchen. “People will bitch for a while, then they’ll get over it and forget it ever existed”.
One would think they could find a “sponsor” and turn the lounge into a money machine.
@mr_woogers you do get first choice because you choose your seats before the singles get sold. But that would be it as far as “better seats” go.
Oklahoma State beat St Thomas by 9 today without their 6'10" 245lb stud center Abou Ousmane. He was suspended for violating team rules. Sounds like he was just suspended for this game and will probably be back to face Southern Thursday. He had 16 points and 8 rebounds in their 1st game against Green Bay.
