KD is the best passer on this team. I'm not sure if he's fast enough to be full time PG.
But if Elliott is out I'm not opposed to telling KD to be way more aggresive and go big PG for a few games as an experiment.

Well first big test in the Nagy era was a bust. Things will get better.
1 hr 50 min. Fast game. Guess I was wrong about them covering. Florida made 30 footers all night while the dawgs missed 3 footers. Frustrating but expected. Hope Elijah is ok. Hope the team figures out how to rebound, shoot, make free throws, and make bunnies. Bradley will be a good fair measuring point. Dawgs looked bad and Florida looked about flawless. Nagy: didn't like the effort 1st half - was very critical of the effort. 2nd half was better. Said he doesn't like getting embarrassed but was embarrassed at times.
Florida is not great, but they are very good and will win a lot of games. Ranked #19 and that's not overranked.
They shot 41% from three - that's excellent. Doubt they'll do that every game.
Nagy had to get 10 players and a bunch of coaches in a very short time. Did a good job I think, but this is definitely a transition year. Don't expect much. Without EE, expect even less unless Sharp is better than I think he is.
I’m glad to hear Nagy was critical of the effort in the first half. He saw what I saw. Then there was a complete lack of focus and fight after getting punched in the mouth. This group needs to be aggressive and scoring the basketball….
Florida is just bigger and more physical than us. Massey battled under the boards but took a beating.
I'll be very surprised if Elliott isn't out for the year. Pretty much a non contact knee injury that looked really bad. He'll need an MRI. I wonder if they'll be able to get him one down there as they aren't coming back to Carbondale for 5 days. He was the only one competently running the point, our best 3 point threat and leading scorer. He was the guy we could least afford to lose. It will also really hurt our ability to play as fast as Nagy wants.
Only positives, we played hard in the 2nd half and held our own rebounding. We got way too sped up at times. Florida is good and they played about as well as they are capable of playing. Aligbe needs to grow up fast as I think he is our best post player, but gets too sped up and lost on defense at times. Not surprising for a true freshman.

P.S. Florida coach is a total douche! Arguing with the refs while our player is writhing in pain under the basket. Running a play up 25 when they could just dribble out the clock. Hope he gets canned in disgrace with all the sexual harassment allegations against him.
