C'mon, it was the packed house that intimidated the Salukis.

Seriously, same ole same ole. Offense needs a complete overhaul.

March on triumphantly!

Well Sharp comes in for some good footage when he enters the transfer portal…

25 secs left Sharp gets in the game. This game was decided a few minutes ago.

No D tonight. Also couldn't shoot. Might as well give these young guys like Sharp a few minutes game experience in a game where it's over long before it's over.

Thursday in the Lou.

Likely. Still several tough ones left to play in the final five.

The blown home games bother me much more than tonight. Although if Bryan is going to talk for weeks about the high ceiling the team has, you’d love to see it at some point.

After Belmont hit that 3 at half, we pretty much collapsed on defense and offense. Lots of ball watching.

On the TV broadcast they said Belmont scored coming out of every timeout scenario. If not, it was definitely most of them. Good job by them but that’s not a good look defensively for Southern.

Probably be twice as bad Saturday. This is one of the worst defenses I’ve seen over the years. Can’t even play man against an average valley team. I’ve seen enough this year to conclude they just aren’t very good and the coaching is average at best. At least the officiating seemed alright. I can see them dropping every game from here til Thursday in march unfortunately. I enjoyed the dunks they had. Just looked like Belmont was doing a layup exercise all night.

Belmont’s probably above average if Gillespie hadn’t missed a month but agree that the SIU defense isn’t all that. Usually good but not great. X and Trent play too many minutes to sustain excellent defense in the second half and guys like Ferguson and Hensley aren’t physical enough.

Usually I'm one to read the message the next morning before sending but:

The comments of the "high ceiling", and we're "working towards peaking at the tournament".  Please, we have 5 games left and I can easily see a loss at Bradley, home with UNI and at Evansville! We're not peaking at all.

There was very little movement, in the second half.  Personally, I'm real sick and tired of the "Lance Jones" plays by X.  Stand and dribble, till little time, drive 1 on 3 bigger guys and hope for a foul.  Do we not have any other play than that?  We saw how well that worked last year!  I'm not criticizing the players. They play to their ability and how they are coached.

With Willingham and Davidson seniors, they have 7 soph and 5 frosh and will school us.  As much as I hated watching the Bradley and Mo St. games, sometimes those happen (a la Ind St- Il St)  This was just poor preparation and poor in game coaching.  I don't want to hear in the post game we had a good practice and it was on him and he didn't have them ready to play.  We're 26 games in!  When will you have them ready??

I try to be positive and realize there is a lot to games I may not get but I am frustrated with the lack of creativity from the sidelines.  I think for my blood pressure I can't watch Saturday and will hopefully be pleasantly surprised when I see the box score.

Thanks for letting me vent.
