I would assume they’ll have 6,000+ tonight, based on roughly those figures for their Illinois St and Belmont home games recently.

Hope that loss to the Redbirds fired our guys up. This would be such a huge W if we can pull it off tonight. Will be very difficult tho.

I think what SIU is doing this year is fine.  They're competing for an MVC Championship for the first time since 2007 and have taken a step up from where they've been under Mullins.  They're going to have to keep taking another step going forward though because I don't think the Valley is going to be down for long.  I don't expect the 2000's Salukis back at all but it would be nice to compete for at-large NCAA Tournament bids in a multiple bid Valley.

I will say though, if SIU doesn't win the Valley regular season or doesn't win in St. Louis, this will be another year without postseason basketball and in my opinion, that's not a successful season when you have Domask and Jones as Seniors and all the continuity from last year.

is Zig Zigler still on this side of the grass? An intervention may be in order here.

We had several years where I didn't expect to win. I'm at a point now where, while I know they won't win every game, I always expect them to win and am of course disappointed when they don't.

I hope Referee Barbie is not calling this game.

Works well for Domask...they got this thing going. She likes his flirty ways at the FT line and will not call any ticky-tac fouls on him cuz she wants to be his Valentine in  a couple weeks.

She also didn't call the other guys when they were mauling him at the basket.

@saluki82 yes, not to mention she wasn’t hired because of her basketball acumen.

I’m predicting a big game for Lance Jones tonight.  It would also be nice if he gets fouls called when he gets hacked driving to the rim.

i dont expect a win tonight, but quite frankly those are much easier games to watch.  the team was easier for me to watch the last few years expecting to lose a lot and a mediocre finish.  it is hard to adjust to expecting a win most games, and the occasional disappointments have been pretty darn rough. while i do not expect a win, my prediction is bradley will have the last shot to win this game. dawgs either win 65-63 or lose in overtime 72-69. im with barkeep that ill not be sober until sunday if they win. so win or lose this will be my last post that makes sense for a few days. godspeed

This is how I feel.  I would be more surprised if they won tonight than if they did not.  That being said, if they blow a late lead and lose, then I would not be okay with it.  This is not a must win, those come later.  Need to win ALL games at home (not easy at, especially the back to back games vs Bradley and Northern Iowa which I think they will lose 1) and then must also win all remaining road games except Drake.  If they do that, they'd likely finish 1st with 15-5 record.  If they go as I suspect, they'll finish 14-6 in conference, which means they would need some help to win the league.  Here's hoping a win tonight throw's a monkey wrench into all this guess work.  LOL

Going to be tough for Domask tonight facing Leons.  He is an absolute stud on defense.  It should be a FUN matchup!!!!!!

I'll NEVER understand when any player chucks it up when we have absolutely NO ONE in position for a rebound.

SIU doesn't go for rebounds.  They'd rather set up on defense.  Been that way every year until Mullins.
