@mr_woogers I am beginning to think Connor Onion is going to be a very fine announcer. There are certainly far worse I have heard in the Valley TV Broadcasts. But yeah...syncing Reiss's sound with ESPN video is a match made in heaven.
I don't mean to put Mr. Onion down. He does a great job for a young announcer..far better than that squeaky voiced dude that does the Redturd games. Only knock on him is he went to Testicle Tech instead of The Southern Illinois University! Just enjoy Mike and Rodney or Greg way more!
Nothing like a 6-0 record and a prime time national tv win to get you fired up for the next game! Who's ready for Evansville?!
I am posting this because we almost got Muller when Hinson was hired, the thought being we needed someone with experience from the academic probation hell we were on the verge of entering. The Turds are none too happy with Muller, guess it was a "choose your poison" situation for us!

Thanks for posting that. It's really nice to see fans of other MVC teams liking our coach because he's a good coach and they respect him instead of liking him because they fell for his "entertaining" personality (and no doubt because they also appreciated having SIU mired in mediocrity). I did not know that Muller was in the mix here in 2012; or maybe I had just forgotten (or blotted out most memories from that time).

Didn't have TV so listened to Mike...almost as good as watching! Loved his post-game interviews with Bryan and Marcus!
On ESPN+, I turn off the Onion and turn on the Reis. Have to do a little fooling once in a while to keep it synced, but it's worth it!
I always enjoyed Mackey Nichols doing the play by play more.
I think Trent Brown reminds me of Kyle Macy who played for Kentucky. Picture perfect form. A thing of beauty.
His release is so much quicker than last year. He has obviously worked hard to up his game and adjust to D1 competition.

He's not hesitating at all this year while shooting, he's catching and firing. One of the things I kept bringing up last year was it looked like Brown was thinking too much instead of just shooting. It's pretty obvious when you go to YouTube and you look at his high school highlights that he has a great shot. Credit to the coaching staff for keeping their confidence in Trent. The fact that Brown has become SIU's best defender and he can hit 3's all over the floor just gives the Salukis another weapon on top of Domask, Harvey, Jones, Banks, etc.
SIU athletics should switch to Jordan brand. I know this is a game thread but still. I had it on the mind.
Is the Jordan brand going to match the sweetheart deal given to us by a classy SIU alum at UA, @spike ? I know Shannon hasn't been there for a number of years, but it's been a good partnership.
Jerry Kill left behind loads and loads of debt. It's not the time to kick a key partner to the gutter.

Is it a sweatheart deal? I am honestly asking, I do not know.
UA has been struggling the past 12-16 months.
I was watching the Kansas vs West Virginia game yesterday and SIU and the MVC got some love from Dicky V. Said the MVC is an underrated conference and goes on to mention Bradley, Loyola, and SIU as being good teams this year (mentioned SIU beating Butler). Always to get good publicity, especially on a game where there were likely a lot of eyes/ears.

I'll take pub wherever we can get it, but I wish he would have been more "loving" to the MVC when it actually deserved it.
This year? Yeah, it's a tough year to gauge, but so far the strong MVC teams have crapped the bed when tested (except for us).
