Using the same unis as last year.
Should hopefully be an interesting game.
You’ve got a Butler team who was picked 8th in the BE versus a young Saluki squad that’s been playing some good offense.
I think that adds up to really good measuring stick game.
I think the guys will come out motivated to avenge that buzzer beater against their coach in the 07-08 season.
SIUs 4 oldest players were 11, 10, 10, and 9 during the last Butler game (and two of those, Muila and Dembele, were living in different countries). Irrelevant, just interesting.

And after that, listen to Mike's interview with Dalton Banks. A well-spoken, composed young man.
If you're gonna reply to me in the forums, please quote what I wrote that you're replying to so I have a clue...thanks! 😀
I really like the home white uniforms. Think it's a clean look.
I agree the road uniforms aren't that great, you have a unique team name in Salukis, that should be plastered on the jersey IMO
My uniform(s) would be:
White home. Solid white, no piping. Maroon Salukis in the team font. Maroon numbers front and back. New dog head logo on the back by the neck. No names. On the right side pant leg, the new SIU wordmark in maroon. Left side, the Valley logo in solid maroon.
Maroon road. Solid maroon, no piping. White SOUTHERN ILLINOIS top to bottom over the number in team font. White numbers front and back. Valley logo in all white on back neck. No names. On the right side pant leg, the new dog head logo. On the left side, the player number in white.
Alternate one. Solid grey. SOUTHERN ILLINOIS in white letters with maroon outline in team font. Numbers in maroon with white outline. No names. Valley logo in maroon with white border on back neck. Dog head logo on right side pant leg. Player number on left side pant leg.
Alternate 2. Solid black. SALUKIS in maroon font with white outline. Numbers in white with maroon outline. Dog head logo on back neck. No names. SIU wordmark in white with maroon outline on right side pant leg. Valley logo in white with maroon outline on left side pant leg.
Alternate 3. The Flint Tropics alternate. White jersey and shorts. Maroon piping on neck and arms. SIU wordmark in maroon with SALUKIS in team font in black underneath. New dog head logo next to SIU wordmark. Maroon S line going from left shoulder to right side. On sides, two small black stripes with a thick maroon stripe in the middle. Numbers in maroon with a double outline, white and maroon. Valley logo in maroon with black outline on neck.
@usmcsaluki Stay out of foul trouble and make our free throws!
This will be a good test for our young team. I have a suspicion that Ben Harvey wlll have a good game and be the glue that puts it all together. Another interesting thing will to see if Domask can pull out of his mini slump and if Lance Jones can stay under control and not force things. I think you will see a fast paced game from SIU tonight. If I were a betting man I would take the over.
Come on boys, let's play a good game ad come home with a W.
Looking like we can get shots but 2 missed layups (albeit contested). By the way, did my eyes deceive me or did Trent Brown get a driving layup.

I was going to post the same thing about staying under control. I believe, however that they want Domask to get going early and often. Hopefully we have 4-5 players who score in double figures though.
