Also, could somebody tell me if SIU is gonna not be short-handed next year? Will we have more than 7 D-I players? It would be nice to have a full roster of D-I players, you know, like a normal program.
They will have JD next year. That being said, if there is one thing Mullins could be criticized for is his recruiting. Jones was not his recruit. Domask was pure luck considering he had already committed elsewhere. Butler, who was supposed to be a defensive wizard, can't play any meaningful minutes and Long is not much better.

Banks and Filewich look like wins to me so far. And the class next year looks very good.

D'Amico, Ebube, and Wonders should all contribute next year. Might be more too coming in.
It's very possible that at least 2 of those players will not have played a single game in 18 months when they get to SIU. I am considerably less excited about the Illinois recruits at this current time.
SIU comes out and gives up an and 1 but is on a nice run right now and cut the lead to 16. At the very least, it's good to see them showing some effort.

And then Drake answers with a 7-0 run after a timeout. Never mind.

Yes, I think Banks is going to be a STUD and Filewich is already showing a ton of potential. There are definitely some wins in his recruiting, but there are several bad misses.
As far as the incoming players, I only have watched 2 of the players and I had high hopes for them (Wonders and D'Amico) but again missing 18 months of completive basketball is potentially going to severely stunt their growth. Basically they'll be HS Juniors facing seasoned College basketball players.
Idk what to say. This is disheartening and my optimism for the program is being tested the last 3 games.
How did Yesufu go from Bolingbrook to Drake? Mullins is from Downers Grove. Smh
Bow Em
SIU down 26 with 14:20 left. I know they don't play until Saturday but I'd like to see Eric Butler get major run. There's no point to playing the starters this entire half.
Who in the valley can compete with this Drake team? Loyola?

Loyola is very good. Drake is good but SIU is playing like sh!t. Indiana State played Drake close for 2 games (granted at Terre Haute), not encouraging when they're 0-4 and you play them next.
REBOUND!!! GM Chrysler ladies. REBOUND!!! I can't take much more. REBOUND!!! We have got to get somebody, anybody, that can rebound. I don't even care if he's a good student/citizen or Jack The Ripper. REBOUND!!! Getting doubled up every game and only getting 1 offensive rebound a half simply will not get it done.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
@salukifan32 Indiana State just played them
tight twice. This does not bode well.
I'm telling you, this is Chris Lowery era bad.
