A lot of things could put us at the top next season.  We are already closer to the top than the bottom.  The standings show that.

1. The last remaining scholarship.

2. Wonders, Edube, Hornecker.

3. The fact that we aren't a bunch of 20 and 21 year olds playing a bunch of 24 year olds.

4. And most importantly, just ONE player making huge strides over the offseason.

Any and all of those things can put us at the top of the MVC next year, and don't forget about that last one.  Key to me is retaining the talent that we have, although I think at least 1-2 transfers in most likely.

Now go make a run at the Arch.  I can't wait!

I am hoping for a 2-3 minute time frame in the 1st half of this game where Bryan has Domask, Coupet, D'Amico, D'Avanzo and Filewich on the floor at the same time.  All 6'7" and above!   D'Amico and Domask would be the ball handlers.

I would just like to see the results of this line up against Drake!

They’ve had more success going small lately.  Last game they didn’t even start a big, I think Coupet took the opening tip

We will go small and try to push the tempo when Brody isn't in the game. When Brody is playing expect Muila or Filewich to be on the floor. I love it when we go small, but we need an inside presence against Brody who only plays about 1/2 the game anyway.

Really feel bad for him.  Changes some of the dynamics.

DJ wilkins is out with a torn ACL.

Drake men's basketball will be without senior guard D.J. Wilkins in Arch Madness. The team confirmed today that Wilkins tore his ACL in Saturday's regular season finale against Southern Illinois. Really tough blow for the Bulldogs ahead of the tournament.

Sorry to see Wilkins not be able to play in Arch Madness. I have had a torn ACL and this will affect him for the rest of his playing career. I didn't see any thing during the play that would warrant that kind of injury. Marcus must have bumped him in the knee at the right place at the right moment for that to happen. It was a freak play, but injuries are part of the game. Frankly, I am surprised there aren't more injuries the way guys on both teams play. It's like a street brawl out there sometimes. Best of luck for a speedy recovery D.J. Wilkins.

Looked non-contact to me.  Thought they bumped knees at first but his knee kind of gave way and there wasn't any contact with Marcus

It unfortunately will affect him.  My daughter's SECOND knee surgery ended both her senior year of high school and, what would have been a fun collegiate, soccer career.   And it still affects her to this day (3+ years later).
