Bryan Mullins pregame with Mike Reis:
Great interview, and Mike asked some questions we were all discussing:
- Will we see Cade and Rupert on the floor together? "Maybe"
- Status on Ebube: progressing, three weeks in now.
When my mother said "maybe", it meant hell no.Bryan Mullins pregame with Mike Reis:

Here's to Newton having a breakout game against his former team.

Seems like Muila is on a similar timeline to Trent Brown from last year
Speaking of injuries, has anyone heard/seen anything on AJ Ferguson? He hasn't played for several games.

@usmcsaluki Mike Reis with an outstanding interview! He asked questions many of us would ask AND he followed up with more questions. I think it is clear that Coach Mullins wants to play 5 guards, or at least 4. Would he have played 4 guards back in the day and had Falker and Shaw share the 5 spot?
@dawgbytes I saw AJ, in uniform, on the bench during the games in California so I don't think it is an injury.
@kyle_saluki_17 i think he had one his first year, i am pretty sure because i have been waiting for the second one for a long time. honestly i could be wrong but i really thought there was one quite a long time ago
I would like to see 2 bigs at once to force the other team to gaurd, right now siu is easy to gaurd, Our front court has some talent would be interesting to see what they could do. Mullins take on that is curious, he seems to be only worried about matching up to the other teams players, not making the other team match ours, hopefully that theory works for him, anyway, must win tonight to have a good chance at mvc title, siu has better talent , need some shots to fall and I'm thinking we win by 10, Go Dawgs!

In the pre-game interview Reis asked him just that: Mullins said he prefers to force other teams to match HIS lineup rather than the reverse.
That being said, I'd like to see a two-big lineup as well, and with Cade starting to log some minutes we have some really interesting possibilities between Ebube, Cade, and Rupert - not to mention Muila when he's back.
Interesting to hear him say, essentially, that Lance is a streaky shooter and that ultimately it will even out as I remember saying it last year. When he's on, it's so much fun to watch and I think we're in for some regression to the mean soon, hopefully starting tonight. In fact, I am going to say Lance will be our leading scorer tonight. I also HOPE that we'll see more of Cade, Wonders, etc tonight.
Let' go Dawgs !!!!!
yes, agreed, but it seemed an awkward response , idk , he doesn't seem to practice that theory on the court, imo. But I'm on board for whatever he thinks is rightI would like to see 2 bigs at once to force the other team to gaurd, right now siu is easy to gaurd, Our front court has some talent would be interesting to see what they could do. I'm looking at Evansville's box score from their last game against Fairfield. Pretty incredibly, it looks like only two of their 5 starters actually scored in the game, and those two (Strawbridge and Toumi) scored 39 of their 56 points.
I saw them play earlier this season and was impressed with Toumi, but I like to think our defense will give both of them problems and that shutting those two down is our key to a win.
