I know this team is without two starters (** IF ** one can still consider Brown a starter) which gives them a built in excuse, but losing this game would be a killer.

Blowing this would be a tough pill for the program to swallow. You start against Loyola and Drake. You’re probably gonna be 0-3 if you lose. Not good! Hopefully something happens to change the tide.

Missing Jones on ball defense bad.
This first half has solidified my hopes for Dalton Banks. As he grows in the years to come, he’s going to be a great point guard. He’s out there seeing things and throwing passes we haven’t seen in Carbondale in a very long time. Has elite anticipation and foresight that you can’t teach.
His pass to D'Avanzo in transition was outstanding
That one made me say WOW.
SIU has gotten a couple calls, including this D'Amico one. That helps make up for the crap charging calls on Domask.
Keeping our big men on their guards is not working.
Givance is killing us
I understand the desire for more scoring from Dalton, but he's a second year point guard. We'd much rather see him run the show first, then look to score more as he gets older. It's a lot easier to look for your own shot. Just watch him as he's dribbling. His head is always looking for a teammate that's potentially getting open. Dawgs need to buckle down here and get this W!
