Don’t care how they got it, this was a good win. SIU was the better team most of the night. If it weren’t for Givance, this would have been a pretty easy win

So what's the deal with Filewich and D'Avanzo? Are they really playing that badly? I missed the first half, but 2 and 7 minutes for them?????

D’Avanzo provided a bit of offense off the bench, and any crumb of offense was needed in the second half, but you also saw why it’s hard to play him on that Givance drive when he was slow to give help and it turned into an and-one. I find myself pining for both of the redshirts, unfortunately.

It's even more puzzling when you factor in that Muila has been very mediocre since he became a starter.
Filewich is the real head scratcher. He doesn't even belong on the floor anymore. Absolutely awful.

Muila's a decent rebounder, but our inside game has been mediocre at best. Gage Prim can't wait to play us.
Our D was good in the 1st half. Offensively, we have issues. Without Jones, we're very lucky to beat anyone. With Jones, we're still offensively challenged vs good teams. Verp didn't do squat tonight, Banks is not much of an offensive player, Coupet occasionally can provide some offense. Hopefully Brown, if he ever gets back, is much improved offensively.
I think Davanzo should be playing more. He provides some offense.
D’Amico had a good defensive game.
Filewich is the real head scratcher. He doesn't even belong on the floor anymore. Absolutely awful.
He had one game where he had 10 pts and some nice moves around the basket, but I agree he has looked worse than last year for the most part.
