Evansville is better than their terrible record, so I’ll take the road win and be pleased!
Evansville has talent and a good team, they just need to get their bus rolling.
They always play SIU well, and the most dangerous place to be is last place, no one looks at what you can do, and some teams look past you.

With Deandre Williams, they have a competitive roster. Without him, they're not a good team. You don't lose 11 straight conference games by accident.
To continue your metaphor, it'll be interesting to see who wants on/off the bus for Evansville this spring, given the coaching transition.

Yes the transition roster with coaching will be interesting,
Would be nice for Evansville to give some help taking down a sleeping UNI, a looking past InSU or Loyola.

After the pasting the Ramblers took last night at MSU, I wouldn't count on it. But I've been wrong before!
If you're gonna reply to me in the forums, please quote what I wrote that you're replying to so I have a clue...thanks! 😀
Trent Brown is going to be fine. The only thing missing now is the fact that his shot is not dropping, and it will. I really like Karrington Davis, and I really like the guards who will be playing next year. Assuming Cook gets his medical RS, we will have him, a true (and talented) point guard in Dalton Banks, big guards in Domask, Harvey, Davis, and we will have Trent Brown, who was a very good 3 pt shooter in high school. Oh, we will also have the guard who won the game in OT last night, Mr LJ!
I must admit that if Brown were an unlikeable kid, I'd be all over his lack of offensive production, but it's just so hard not to like someone who has 100% bought into the system and does whatever he can to help, even if it's just supporting the guys from the bench. He is one of our best entry passers to the post. He is a better driver than some would give credit for. All that being said, his shooting has been surprisingly poor to date. I keep hoping that something clicks with him and he starts nailing shots like he did in HS. That would REALLY help this team.
Trent Brown is rushing so much.
The pace of the game at this level right now is too quick for him offensively. He's pushing almost everything he shoots, even when he's wide open. It doesn't feel natural for him yet. This continues to play on his mind and the result is he's overthinking as opposed to reacting and just playing. No amount of gym time will fix this for him. He just needs to study game film and try to find ways to relax and do what's natural for him in-game, same as he would in practice or playing pick-up.
He's settled in defensively and that, coupled with his intangibles, is why he's gotten so many minutes. Although his offensive struggles may last the remainder of the season, he'll eventually be fine. I do concur, he really could've used a redshirt.

Pretty ugly win, but I'll take it. Nice to see Jones have the confidence to step up like that in OT.
I don't know if Domask was physically drained the final few minutes and OT but couldn't buy a basket. I still liked to see him be aggressive, get to the basket and keep shooting though. That's what great players do.
Was pretty close to the court and Marcus definitely looked gassed towards the end of the 2nd half.
was the crowd as bad as it looked on tv? Looked empty

I didn't think it was that bad for an 0-10 team and a weird 6:00 PM weekday start time but I guess I wasn't expecting much

Eh I dunno, a team doesn’t take down Kentucky because one player is good.

Yes. No students there other than the softball team.

Old Indian saying, "The most dangerous animal in the forest, is the wounded one." I was leery of UE also and they will hurt someone down the stretch. Just hope it's not us. Happy as hell with the ugly road win.
March on triumphantly!
