I know people keep calling for Wonders to play more, and i get it, but he hasn't been any better. He is now 2 for his last 13 from three. He isn't exactly lighting it up when he is in there either. This entire team has simply lost its ability to shoot the ball.

He also gets sporadic playing time and often gets yanked the second he misses a shot. No chance for him to get in a groove

I don't think he gets yanked for missing shots, mullins wants him to shoot, what he gets yanked for is when he watches his opponent just drive right around him with little effort on the defensive end.

Wonders isn't the only player guys drive by effortlessly. D'Amico, Muila, and Brown all get smoked quite often.

It sucks knowing Indiana State turned around their entire program in 2 years and SIU is in year 4 and still probably a middle of the pack Valley team.  It wasn't too long ago they were in the NCAA Tournament with Jake Odum and beating us with Hinson on Saturday.  That was 5 years after the last time SIU seriously competed in the Valley.

@mr_woogers Tech is worse than our Dawgs this year; but I paid for two full rides there so I am an honorable Red Raider.  Bad year so far :..

Schertz appears to be the real deal. Dominated in D2 for years and appears to be able to translate it to the MVC.

Imagine if SIU had hired a real coach instead of Hinson. They literally hired the one guy you know cannot get you to an NCAA tournament, a guy who another team(with less pedigree) in the conference let go due to lack of performance.

Lowery needed to go. It was time. But Hinson was such a horrifically bad hire and it was from the second it was announced. It set the program back from rebuilding by a decade and kept setting it back more because they kept inexplicably extending him.

If you had told me prior to the season that SIU would be tied with Drake in the standings after 7 games, I would have been ecstatic.  Luckily, a nice stretch of games is coming up here with a VERY tough, yet winnable game against Missouri St.

Was about to credit Banks for having his best game (which it probably is) but he now has 4 fouls with 17:56 left

@salukiworld

His shooting has REALLY improved this year.  He has been a positive on the floor despite the last turnover and fouls.

SIU gets a pretty big break with Schertz getting T'd up.  Hopefully that changes the game.

Avilla is a really good player.  I really wish he were a Saluki.  A big mistake, in my opinion, by this staff.  With this offense and defense, he would not be riding pine like Cade.
