Pegging this one for a loss. I think Mo State one of the four teams (including us) that end the season with a Thursday bye

I didn't used to hate SW Mo. State when Spoonhour was the coach and they were in some other league. Then Barbecue happened and they got too big for their britches and became Mo. State, against the wishes of Mizzou!

I would love to kick some Ozark butt! Seems like we always play like crap on Saturday, but I took a long walk this evening on the beautiful campus of The Southern Illinois University and walked through the Student Center - didn't see a single player in the bowling alley practicing with the wrong kind of ball! Good Omen!

Also, the football stadium and scoreboard was lit up - trying to keep the leds warm? Seems it's always lit up at night.

Go Dawgs!!!!!

We truly have a beautiful campus. I think a lot of the credit goes to Delyte Morris and his vision for the University. He left a lasting impact on the SIU Campus.  I always enjoyed my walks through Thompson Woods going to class in the Ag Building. Also remember the patio in the Student Union on a warm sunny day in the fall when the bees would be attracted to all the soda. Good memories, thanks for the reminder.

Just turned the game on. Where are the MSU fans? For a game they marketed hard, and which could result in MSU being tied for 1st in conference, I expected a better atmosphere.

We can't hit the broad side of a barn right now.

If we can hit some 3’s today we could be in good shape. MSU appears to be leaving the perimeter wide open.

Nearly got to the under 12 media timeout without a whistle.  SIU up 10-5.

Jones with 2 clankers (despite shooting below 30% on 3's) and a wild drive and "throw up at the glass" shot.  I say it almost every game, there is not a single player in this league that can stop him on a normal drive, where he can shoot or dish.  Let's see more of that and less of the above.

That was one of my key to the games (prior to the start).   So far Domask and Jones are 0 - 4.  XJ and Newton hit both their solo shots.... more of that please.  : )

I had a student employment job in Woody Hall and, later, the Student Services Building (SSB), when that was finished in 2014. I always joked about how the SSB was like a hotel because the elevators dinged and the fact that my office had an ice bucket that I would fill up on the top floor break room throughout the day. 😆 There was only one row of “red” parking in the adjoining lot to SSB and, if you arrived a minute past 7:50a, they would be full and I’d have to park aaaallll the way down at the Arena lot! Which, actually, wasn’t that bad because I’d get my morning stretch and I would walk right through Saluki Row and knock on King Tut’s tomb for good luck like Coach Nick’s boys!

I believe it’s stuff like this that they call nostalgia. 🙂

Anyway, Go Dawgs! Beat State!
