Dawgs are currently 10 point underdogs. Gonna be a tough test.
Yeah, unfortunately, the Dawgs face yet another strong mid-major team who has had a lot of success for some time. Let's hope they can keep it close and, as or more importantly, make adjustments and learn from the game in preparation for the future.
Even without Ja Morant this will still be a really tough game, but maybe Domask will drop 40 and Cook will have 10 steals; I can dream, right?
Is Karrington Davis cleared to play this year? Don't remember seeing him yet...
SIU is going to have to find a way of rebounding the basketball and keeping other teams off the boards. Mullins is going to have teach some of these guards how to box out and board.
Coach Mullins basically had 6 months to try and put a team together. I believe he did an admirable most impressive job. Unfortunately it is very difficult to undertake a complete rebuild in one year without a weakness here or there. We should be better when Dembele and Davis can return to the floor but no way of knowing until that happens. We may be weak rebounding the ball presently but I trust this coach to find a way to improve. I watched us closely against San Francisco and I saw some encouraging signs. Gooch seems to be improving and taking to his role in the front court. Domask was tough defensively and was very quick to the double team and helping under the basket. Lance Jones may be a starter by the end of the year. Our Juco Francois is adjusting to D-l ball and will help us in the 2nd half. We should also consider that SF was a very good ball team. They Dons contested everything and their on the ball defense reminded me of some of our better teams a few years back. Meanwhile I will try to be patient and I am confident we will improve. The team has shown no quit.
That USF team returned three starters from a 21 win team that beat teams like Saint Marys, BYU, Cal, Stanford, S.F.Austin, and Harvard last year. They were huge and pretty good. No way they will finish as low as 6 in their league. Probably 3rd behind the Zags and St. Marys.
This Murray team is no slouch. Led Tennessee by 9 at half - fell apart in the 2nd half. Very good guards.
No Ja Morant thank goodness.

Yes, he received his waiver in October. He can play as soon as he returns from his injury.
Great to have Greg Starrick back on the broadcast!
Salukis up 6-0 at first media timeout. Much better start than Saturday

Benson has disappointed me so far this year. Lot of straight up dumb decisions
