You could see that result coming a mile away.
Mullins outcoached (again).
D'Amico absolutely brutal (again).
Trent Brown getting beat on defense, chucking up bricks, and playing 40 minutes (again).
Hensley stuck trying to guard 5s (again).
Ebube not playing enough (again).
XJ driving into traffic and throwing up prayers attempting to draw fouls (again & again & again & again). Seems to be the only play we know.
And some will genuinely wonder why we think Bryan Mullins is so stubborn (again).
His unwillingness to change some of his philosophies and personnel decisions will continue yielding subpar results. Frustrating..
I hate to say it this way because I actually do like the man and loved him as a player, but I am kind of shocked at how bad he is in multiple key areas of this head coaching job.
It’s not getting better. He can get guys to play hard and hustle, but that’s about it.
And it’s not that the Salukis are bad, they continue to be incredibly boring to watch and mediocre on the whole.
The player rotations and overall PT given out to certain guys is just embarrassing and inexcusable.

They’re the ones that can get us where we haven’t been in 15 years.
Open shots didn't go in if we shoot up to average we win on on to the next one this team is still better than pre season predictions
Probably going to happen more and more if Troy keeps firing up between 5-10 of them a game.
I don't want to bang on the kid, but I've no idea why he's shooting so much. No idea why he's even allowed to. Nobody fears him being the one trying to beat you on offense.
If I'm the opposing coach, I'm loving Troy trying to do his best Steph Curry.
I know Hensley is catching some heat on here, but he's a far greater offensive threat at the 4 than D'Amico. He's at 10+ ppg easily with Troy's minutes, IMO.

If things continue on the recent path, this team might just end up exactly where they were picked pre-season. Luckily, I think they will still win enough games here to finish 6th or 7th. Regardless, this team IS playing the extra day in the MVC tourny.

I don't see finishing 6th when they were picked 9th as an accomplishment in Year 5.
Maybe if I thought this team had long-term success building but I don't really see it right now. They'll lose X and Brown this offseason and while I like guys like Rupert, Ferguson, Ebube and Davis; does anyone think this team is going to compete next year without a big portal class? Because I don't.
I absolutely agree with you. I'm not happy about IF we finish 6th, and even now that's still more of the ceiling that the floor. I also agree that it is going to take a MAJOR shift in offseason portal recruiting success, something this staff has not exceled at, in order to right the ship and contend next season.
