So, the only real question left is if this team can avoid 20 losses. I don't think they'll avoid it, as we've seen too many ugly losses already.
The MVC is pretty competitive too. It's not a great league but Evansville is probably the only team that doesn't have much of a pulse. We see them on New Year's Day and that might be one of the last remaining wins of the year.

Final
Steffe looks like the slowest player on the team. Even slower than Moreno.The highlight package at halftime did not look great defensively for Steffe (who also remains frigid offensively). Realize there is scarce guard depth but not sure he’s earned his PT.

how any saluki fan can think this is remotely acceptable is crazy to me.
This is shaping up as a truly dreadful season. Theoretically I’m OK with a rocky first year but I worry the resulting impacts on attendance and donations from an NIL standpoint will make it harder to recruit and regroup for next year.
Silver lining: Not too many guys I’d sweat losing to the portal.
Sigh.
A lot of $$$ was spent on this team to not be terrible right away and we're gonna come out of this season with a horrible season and very few pieces I'd consider to be the future going into next year. I do like the 2 high school kids coming in but hard to think next year is gonna be much better without some magic in the portal.
Well I saw Joe Gottfried's teams, so we have been worse IMO. But
That next game against the Purple Asses could be our chance to prove we're better than that 1980 Gottfried group, 0 - 16 in the MVC.
EE will be back hopefully. Davis, Aligbe, Webber, some good pieces. Steffe was a 4 star recruit? His shooting is worse than Kendall Brown Surles.
@siudawgs how can you be ok with this is don't care if it is the first year or not this season so far is unacceptable and no excuse is acceptable
