That was awesome. Absolute toughness and grit to come away with that win.
So did anyone else notice Hornecker has "CADE" on the back of his jersey and not his last name?
”First you build the culture”.Lance is humble and all class. These players put team 1st. Great culture Mullins is building with really good kids. Setting team GPA records every semester too. Easy team to root for, SIU baby!!!!Lance: not surprised by the win, felt like everyone worked really hard last few months, mentions all the guys who came in and did little things that don't show up on the stat sheet
says the Alabama game was good prep (similar size and D)

I’ve been a bit critical at times in the past of Lance’s overall floor game and decision-making so I want to give him full credit here: he willed the Salukis back into the game late with his competitive fire. Really impressive.
Such a terrific win for the program. Wins under Mullins now against Butler, Colorado, Oklahoma State … let’s keep adding.
Only downer from the day is the Ebube news. I’ll be pretty pissed if a scooter mishap keeps SIU from returning to the postseason. 😆
It's funny, when the lead got to 10 or so I was like "Well, this has gone a bit off the rails, hopefully we get a moral victory by showing a little fight and coming back a bit"
EDIT: Domask and Jones have another year of eligibility left due to 2020 not counting, correct?
I ashamedly turned the game off at the beginning of the 2nd half when we went down 10. I was shocked when I woke up and checked my phone.
That 3 by Domask in the corner gave me flashbacks to Tatum's at Butler back in the day.
Feeling good this morning. Glad I have the day off to go watch those last 10 minutes.
Maybe I'll watch the interview now. Was not feeling up to it before.Poor Barry couldn't get a win like this during his tenure. And tonight he was in the front row to watch us do it against his school lol.
March on triumphantly!
Not to be a drag, but I worry a little about USI on Sunday. That's a pretty short turnaround, especially after a road game, and USI will be up for this one.
Let's hope they savor the win today and then forget it and get back to work tomorrow. A loss to USI would put a serious damper on this start to the season.
Does anyone know the last time SIU was ranked #77 or better in the kenpom rankings?
The Salukis will now be favored in all of the non-conference games (including the MTE) other than the game at SLU. Winning the game at Oklahoma St. won't mean as much if the Salukis don't put out good efforts in the rest of these non-conference games.

You know, EVERY team says that...........but certainly NOT every team lives and breathes it. Just watching the post game celebration and coach chat, EVERY single player, whether they played meaningful minutes or not (or played at all) was fired up. They were engaged. This is certainly a case where a culture has been built and we are now starting to reap the benefits. Hopefully, it is only the beginning.

If they want to return they can, yes
And Banks and Brown would also have a 5th year if they choose to i beleive.
