Mayo falls down and loses possession of the ball anytime a defender gets in his face
Massey’s energy is maybe his biggest strength. But how many times has he put it on the floor and gotten it knocked away, then just reached for the ball rather than diving? It’s really an odd thing.
OSU reminds of some of our NCAA teams with their poky hands D. They've created a lot of TOs with those active hands.
We have 17 TOs to their 7.
Defense is gonna need to get better before Valley play, especially interior defense. Thought they played good defense in the first half but that's come apart this half.
Yeh our 2nd half we just got sloppy and careless. Also less intensity on D I think.
We’re seeing a mirror image of ourselves. This is the kind of team Nagy wants this team to be. Ferocious defensively, and very high speed on offense, with the low post being the offensive focal point. They’re us, just with much better players.
Lot of positives you can take from this one. Record might not look pretty the first 2 months but it's all about how this team looks in the Valley
Jarrett’s not gonna be in the starting lineup by valley play
If only Sykes could shoot past 3 feet, he could start down low.
Oklahoma State 85
SIU 78
Final
Elliott leads SIU with 21
Exactly what I wanted from this game. Outside of a win. Give those players and coaches a close up look at elite athleticism, a well coached team, and a late close-game scenario to learn from.
Nice comeback the last few minutes. We beat the spread, so at least we cost some people some money!
Our Bigs aren't big and strong enough. Hopefully, that will be less evident in Valley play.

I thought Moreno looked pretty good in the last few minutes
