Role Call!
I'll be in attendance again this year and looking forward to this game after our come back win and MoState's unexpected blow out win against the Ramblers last night.
As a friendly reminder to those who are going to the game, we will not be meeting at Bar 63 this year. Our pre-game watering hole unfortunately closed down so we will have a pre-game gathering at Leona's Pizza instead.
I'll post more information soon, but I should warn you that the restaurant is BYOB.

Can we get by with running five guards against these guys? There is no way any of our guards can begin to slow down Krutwig at 26o pounds. However, there is no way he can get up and down the court with the crew we had on the court in the second half last night. It will be very interesting to see if PT learned anything from our win.

Yeah, I was wondering the same. UNI doesn't have an impactful big like Loyola, Valpo, ISU, etc., but I do think Southern wants to try to stick with that five-guard look some, so that'll be an interesting subplot.
Lucas Williamson was out injured again for the Mo State game, which I'm sure contributed to Loyola's debacle last night in the Ozarks. Not sure of his status for Sunday. There is a steep dropoff this year for Loyola between the starters and bench guys, which could be problematic at Arch Madness.
More importantly, can SIU show up to Gentile early enough Sunday for Bryan Mullins to put the Saluki redshirts through a workout? 😛

Proud Saluki, living and working in Kansas State territory. 🤔
Maybe that second half stunner by the Salukis last night flipped the script for the season... Hard to be optimistic with Bozo Hinson still in charge

Let's not get too far out ahead of our skis here. It was one win against a sub-200 rated team.
We will find out more on Sunday.
I doubt he learned much.

Whoa, this place really is BYOB. I just called to confirm. Seems like something the Facebook event should've mentioned. There's going to be some upset Salukis there Sunday at 1 when they can't buy a beer.

Also, I'm 99% sure I never clicked the tickets URL and RSVP'd. Is that going to be an issue? Didn't see that extra section until today.

Nate -
The Alumni people were slacking this year, and I was getting information directly from a friend that's on the board. I'll post the email they sent out about ordering booze...
Also, it's not to late to register saying that you'll be in attendance at Leona's. Just not sure how much food they will actually order so be prepared. I personally plan on bringing a case or two of Corona to honor's tomorrow's Polar Bear Holiday on campus. More then welcome to have a beer or two with the "Demise Generation" (2009-2013 crowd get it haha, i'll stop).
Also if you plan on going, Stubhub has some options left, but they are going for $50+ before fees.

Unfortunately, I think Loyola wins this one without much resistance. I look for Krutweg to push Pippen all over the floor the entire game.
This team hasn't won a big game all year; the mental toughness just hasn't been there. Coming off a big second half against UNI, if they can beat Loyola at their place they may have finally turned a corner, because sadly this is the biggest game left on the schedule.
