UIC has been the surprise team in the Valley this year. Sasa Ciani missed the last game with an illness and is day to day.

Three of the next four are on the road with Drake being the home game, but even beyond that, the schedule is very tough over the next eight games, considering the home games are against upper-half teams.
Either Southern is going to have to sustain a higher level of play like it had against UNI or the losses are going to pile up in a demoralizing way. Picking off road wins against Valpo and Evansville look like some of the best opportunities.
