Underachieved? There are many people that think this team wasn't that talented to begin with. Just because it was Hucky's best team doesn't mean that this team had a lot of talent.

Reis and Shipley: buyout is $175,000, he could never get over the hump. At SIU, 60 - 66 in the MVC.
Shipley - this team had enough talent to achieve a lot more than it did - not acceptable for SIU to go 11 years without an invite to the NCAA.

Yep - they know it's over. Reis mentioned the expectations set out at the beginning of the year - getting to the NCAA - weren't met.
In my opinion, this team had more talent than Drake - except for the coaching staff. Drake has won 24 games, looked great tonight without their 1st team All MVC player (and the MVC Defensive Player of the Year) - and starting guard also out. I think they whip UNI!

I disagree. There was talent here. It was unmotivated at times and poorly used. Last night was a prime example.
Had this team given the effort you saw from Drake in the prior game, UNI gets beat by 20. Effort didn't come (except from Pippen) until it was too late.
BTW, Shipley kept saying Pippen was gassed. How the heck is that possible? Is he not in playing shape?
I realize Hinson’s exit is the bigger story, but we really couldn’t win one game at Arch Madness with this group?! Brutal.
I still can't believe Hinson went with that stupid "Hail Mary" baseline play at the end. It should of been Armon or AC taking that shot. Not MB.
