Results for Valpo so far:
The Salukis beat them pretty handedly at the Banterra Center led by a 10-0 run to start the 2nd half and 23 points from Marcus Domask. Valpo has 6'8 Senior Ryan Fazekas back though for this one.

What's a Fazekas? LOL - compared to last game, whose minutes will he take?
I feel like we match up well against valpo. But still have to make shots and play our game, always tough on the road, Go Dawgs!
I said this earlier in the season when we were usually the team pick to lose, and it has not changed, every Valley game is an upset waiting to happen. Goes both ways. Go Dawgs!

Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous for this one.

Every road game should make you nervous in the Valley!

My prediction...Marcus Domask scores 36 against Valpo 😲 enroute to yet another MVC conference series sweep to add to the heap for the 2019-2020 season.
Interesting food for thought...it's interesting to see how the conference teams fair against each other in more detail than the standings show.
Among in-conference series this season only 4 teams have avoided being swept by any opponent (N Iowa swept Bradley, MO St and Valpo; SIU swept Drake and IL St; Loyola swept Valpo; Indiana State has not swept a series nor been swept in a series).
4 teams have NOT swept a series this year (Evansville swept by Bradley, MO St and Valpo; IL St swept by SIU and MO St; Drake swept by SIU; Indiana State no sweeps)
3 teams have both swept a series and been swept in a series (Bradley swept Evansville and swept by N Iowa; MO St swept Evansville and IL St and swept by N Iowa; Valpo swept Evansville and swept by Loyola and N Iowa)
If we WIN against Bradley and IN St we avoid being swept all year in conference, any other victories for us add to our sweeps against.
Evansville could be winless in conference this season - what a crummy record book entry that would be
None of this is a predictor of future success of course, but I thought it was fun to look at this so there you go.
Every road game is an extreme hazard. SIU needs to continue to approach this one game at a time and increase their focus and effort for every single road game. If they don't they'll end up with some ugly road losses. Hopefully Mullins has the team ready to take care of business tomorrow night.
We're supposed to start getting snow up here (NW Indiana) in the late afternoon, early evening but it would take a storm to keep me away from the game. As I said, section D, row J on the aisle if anyone is interested in buying me a beer. : ) I"ll be with my wife (who I met at SIU) and my youngest (16yr) son. I've already been warned NOT to embarrass them !!!
Go Dawgs !!!!!!!!!!!
