Feels like 2 wins stolen on the road the last 2 games. Salukis are really fun to watch right now and Mayo is becoming a favorite of mine
Another one of those "had 'em all the way" games! We're putting together a nice track record in games that come down to the wire, and two consecutive road victories are always a good thing no matter the opponents. And five players scoring in double figures -- including Moreno, which I certainly couldn't have predicted.
Wow what a game!!!! I'm loving this team and their toughness. Might have to double up on the blood pressure meds though!
Also love Moreno's game tonight. He's going to see a lot more minutes this season.
Balanced scoring:
Dibba 13
Hensley 13
Moreno 13
Mayo 13
I'm really unhappy that KD screwed it up and had 19! 😆
Now let's give Drake another loss. If we shoot decent, we will!
You are being far too kind. The officiating has been so lopsided so far! 😠

Coach Nagy had nice things to say about Moreno (and the whole team). Moreno has hit the treadmill to improve his conditioning - it shows too. As Luke said, we don't win this game without him.
Whole team played hard and never quit!
this game reminded me of that movie the deer hunter. didn't really like the first half, and then de Niro came firing out of that cage. I didn't like the first half of this one, and then.....
lots of people deserve credit for salvaging a season that was heading into the dumpster. to the coaches and players, thank you.
And again I have to wonder: where is saluki4life?
Gosh, so strange . . .
(Inflammatory political snark)
No road win is easy. Very nice win! It still seems like we literally just got a bunch of new guys at halftime of the Belmont game…
Road win. Can’t complain, other than outside shooting.
And again I have to wonder: where is saluki4life?
Gosh, so strange . . .
Spike has been conspicuously absent, too.
On a more serious note: When Nagy predicted a few weeks ago that this was a team nobody would want to face toward the end of the season, it seemed like an outlandish and reckless statement. But it appears his crystal ball was right on target, maybe even a bit ahead of schedule. A good showing against Drake at home would confirm that.
I’m sorry. I’m so pumped.
just got back from picking up my son at batting practice. Was watching in the lot on my phone.
this team doesn’t quit!!!!
what heart and what grit!!!
I’ve watched this team for 27 years, and outside of that one wild month with Hinson in 14, I can’t remember a bigger swing. Just fun. Let’s get a stunner Saturday.

@ajcsaluki I was thinking about that tonight!
I think he said it after Illinois State? I was listening, like, ‘What?! Is this guy ALSO a moron?!’
Turns out, I’m the moron.

Wow - seemed like they got every rebound and loose ball in crunch time. Big-time grit on display. Sharp made a long baseline jumper that ordinarily I’d say was a questionable shot to take, but he made it, and that ignited the late rally.
Moreno has been a revelation these past two games. Craziness. If he’s going to warrant significant minutes, they’re going to need to find ways to play him and Hensley together more. I know they like Hensley at the 5, but he only played 20 minutes tonight, and that’s not enough for the way he’s been producing in recent weeks and considering the dearth of other 3-point shooters. Speaking of minutes, Kennard played 40 the other day and 39 tonight … maybe not a coincidence that he struggled to finish a few drives he usually does and has been short on some 3s, though he was money late at the line.
The officiating was quite bad … Sharp especially got some rough calls and they also let Valpo get away with a lot of handsiness.
Such a great turnaround these past few weeks … and an extra day of rest/prep for the next one. Keep it rolling!
