Most impressed with the after-game prayer circle led by Valpo coach Powell. It is a tradition that Valpo does after every game and he invited the Saluki players and coaches to join in. Nagy told the team if they wanted to join in they could, but they didn't have to. But all the players and coaches joined in, some Saluki players even standing in between Valpo players. Basic theme was to be thankful to have the opportunity to play basketball. Nagy gives a great interview, something that always frustrated me with Mullins who often would respond to question with "coach speak". In Nagy we Trusty. Road wins are sweet. Let's hope the fans pack Banterra Center for the Drake game Saturday.
Here and very excited! I take back none of what I said. This team was a dumpster fire who looked like they couldn't care less to play for their coaches, teammates, or their school. The last few weeks they have changed that and proven me wrong. Impressive job by the staff to keep them on board. I don't know what changed but I agree, they are a ton of fun to watch, I love winning but win or lose they proven to be a team you feel good about supporting. I did not see that coming in late DEC early JAN. Maybe I was too early to jump the gun but watching a team roll out there and keep they teeth bashed in and show no reaction was infuriating... Don't take it from me, listen to Rodney Watson after Evansville.
Regardless, I have and will continue to support the Salukis like I have my entire life. I have been there through the lowest of lows and highest of highs. I am never going anywhere, all I want is them to be good again.
Who would've guessed we'd win 5 out of 6 after the Evansville debacle? We caught some breaks to get that win, but Hensley and Kennard came up big in crunch time. We outrebounded them by 10-12 and outscored them by 20 in the pant. That's what our game needs to be. Less 3-point attempts and less turnovers would be nice, as well. Let's get to .500 on Saturday!
I am too surprised by the turn around and glad for the new found effort now just wish I had time to tune in or get to the Banterra Center but I seem to be at the jr high or high school games supporting the grand children the weather has played havoc on scheduling make up games

White Out for the Drake game! Get out to Banterra and Support The Dawgs! After two road wins and this team elevating its level of play during that time really deserves some solid fan support. Show ‘em some love.
Are we having fun yet, wow! Saturday is a huge game! Go Dawgs
